After hearing all day yesterday how great this economy is going
I skimmed through my daily local paper and ran across this ironic headline.

Now how good can it be if a candy cane bender can't keep a job in December?

1. I caught a snippet on local news the other night
of the blowdried boys waxing rhapsodic about the wonderful economy and all the new jobs being added. Their example was a Burger King in New Orleans that has offered a $6,000 sign on bonus. Burger King!!!!

I'd like to see these asshats try to live on what Burger King pays anywhere.

I guess if the rich get richer and nitwit television news readers are still enjoying Bush tax breaks, the economy is just fine.

6. What they probably didn't mention in the $6000 Burger King story
Is that there's NOWHERE TO LIVE!
I amy be wrong, but I don't think that's enough cash to warrant a 100 mile commute.

8. The only reason a BK would offer a $6000 sign on bonus
is because it's in NOLA. They have to convince people to come back to work there somehow. Any other BK on the planet would never consider such a thing.

2. It wasn't the benders, it was the folks who paint the red stripes
on them. Now the lazy good for nothings will lay around collecting unemployment until Easter candy season. (Of course I know I am a prick for making fun of people who lost their jobs.)

3. yes, NO was held up as an example of good jobs--yet the local
contractors are having problems as all the good jobs went out of state.
I listened to the town hall meeting mayor nigins had yesterday.

7. The stripes on candy canes aren't painted on either. Feeble
attempt at humor.
