Wingnut Hirsen on BookTV Blaming H'wood for Dean's Lead
Just when I thought the wingnut universe was finite, here's one I never heard of before, ripping Libs, specifically Hollywood Libs and CLINTON, to pieces. Every sentence is outrageous, too many to transcribe, but a sampler: That the power and money of Hollywood Libs/Rob REINER, are behind Howard DEAN's leap from obscurity to leading the pack. Sez that despite H'wood being SO Left, all the movie stars who run for office are Repukes, and mostly action heroes (GRANDY, BONO, haha). That H'wood Libs would have a hard time coming up with Lib action heroes, Babs as "Wonder Yenta or Yentl". Every 4th sentence is a slam at CLINTON and the next one is adulation for Ahhhnuld.

He's a "constitutional law professor" in Southern California and was a keyboardist for The Temptations. The wingnuts are inexhaustible.

1. I don't quite understand the wing nuts obsession with Hollywood
Since the real power in Hollywood...the people who run the studios...are quite conservative in politics. Corporate money owns the studios now. Just because some actors and actresses are liberal doesn't mean Hollywood itself is liberal.

2. He claims...
that Hollywood now *blacklists* people of "traditional faith" - in another instance using the term "Christian". I happened on the broadcast and listened, mesmerized by the air of desperation as he ticked off the names and acts of the 'lefties' that distress him so - and his reaching for what he apparently thought was humor, but which were exclusively petty little attacks.

Re PETA: "You have to go fifty miles out of town to get a steak."? Guess he's never been to the Pacific Dining Car.

He also called the old Fairness Doctrine "dangerous" and stated his preference to deregulate the airwaves.

I counted 17 people in his audience. Some of them were even awake.

"You have to go fifty miles out of town to get a steak."

Isn't there an In & Out Burgers right down the street from the Paramount gates?

I visited Warner and 20th Century Fox studios and was treated to BBQ chicken and roast beef. Paramount's commisary offered NY Strip for $18 (too rich for this tourist boy!).

What do you think Ed Asner, Roseanne, John Goodman, and Danny DeVito eat anyway?

5. It Was on Book TV, Not an Article
The quotations are summaries from memory of what he was reading on t.v. But the first link before his bio link contains a link to all of his NewsMax articles, which I haven't mustered the stomach to peruse so far.

6. I've been told Clark is more popular in Hollywood

I suppose he is referring to Gibson when he talks about a blacklist. That pissing contest was created by the neoconservative republicans at the "New Republic" not hollywood.
