Best living former President
You would have to be totally ignorant to not nominate Jimmy Carter as the best x-prez.
I just caught his appearance on last night's "Daily". Has any x-prez accomplished what he has? In history?
Why do we let the rethugs beat up true patriots like Carter and Clinton?
They represent the best we have had. All of us that voted for them, or would have if they were old enough, should be proud.

3. I argued with fundies about Carter
who they condemned as being a terrible person. When I pointed out how he was following Christ's teachings, they did the equivalent of the freeper lady who put her fingers in her ears and said "lalala" to Randi Rhodes. The only way I could have gotten their attention was to hit them over the head, but I'm a pacifist and won't do that.

6. Carter is not he best living 'ex president'.
He is the best living 'human'. I wish I had half his energy, joie de vivre, honour and humanity.

However, he was too 'good' a human to be a great president. Clinton was a great president but nowhere near the man Jimmy Carter is.

10. in a time when "Christianity" is being represented by
truly horrendous exploitive figureheads.... President Jimmy Carter reminds us of what it means to LIVE a Christian life. He has my upmost respect--always has.

12. * makes a mess, Clinton helps clean it up.
Carter builds a house, * helps fill it.

They have a kind of supply and demand thing going, is that what you are saying?

Good post, I liked it.
