who spit on our 'Nam soldiers coming home and called them names. I used to be married to a guy who didn't want to go but did his 'duty' to his country. He was just a hippie guy, literally yanked out of Haight-Ashbury by a draft notice. Peaceful and kind. And to obey your country's orders and get called names for doing it? That sucked.
He didn't kill anything other than bugs over there too! He couldn't break the habit of covering his head with a pillow when he slept even after the war. He was trying to drown out the sound of bombs...

Screw those who don't try to put themselves in a soldier's boots and try to understand what they go through without telling them how they should act or what to do! Screw that asshat Jean Schmidt!
