Seriously, when the subject of McCain comes up, Matthews swoons like a love-struck teenager.

It is disgusting and totally unprofessional.

I’m am petrified about the prospect of a McCain candidacy, which is all but certain.

The media whores are going to kiss his ass all the way into the White House.

1. Nah...Some Bushie jerk-off will swiftboat him into obscurity again.
And even so...no way is the Republican Party getting back to the White House in '08...that election will be steal-proof in Dems' favor.

5. Yes, it is.
McCain is dangerous...thankfully, the right wing will never nominate him.

6. You're Right Unless....That's The Only Way They Can Win...
And it's looking like he is the only way they can win...so they will nominate him and he'll be tough because he's become a shill for illegal war in the name of saving face...

4. Tweety's Military Fixation
I think he believes he's become a military man by proxy. In some cases this is good, since Tweety has taken his film crews and appears to have spent some time inside Walter Reed. However, his military madness led him into sucking up all the lies leading to the invasion (cause he wanted to see all those neat bombs and shock and awe toys), then he wanted to see the invasion succede cause he wanted to see the parades and flowers being thrown at the military...then he wanted to see a big political victory to make the invasion look justified. Now he's just looking.

McCain is playing all ends off each other...and I'll bet he's laughing his ass off in the process. He's the 900 pound gorilla inside the Repugnican party...the self-annointed "doorway to the Democrats and moderates". He's the media darling...who can waltz on the talk shows and charm and bullshit. He's their Joe Liebermann...and keep that in mind when it comes to how well his act is going over on the far right.

Tweety sees this regime collapsing and wants to hitch his wagon with what he thinks is the next rising star. Since there's no Democrat who he likes or likes him, McCain is his hero.
