Has Bush made a speech about rebuilding New Orleans?
Its been over 100 days since Katrina and not a word from this administration on rebuilding the Gulf. Yes the President made a speech on the rebuilding of Iraq. Mr. President what is our accomplishments in New Orleans?

1. There has been no speech.
Because there has been no progress.

IIRC, Karl Rove was supposed to be in charge of that, & he seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.

However, yesterday some hurricane survivors testified before Congress, & they had nothing good to say!

2. This is my point
We can dump all our resources into Iraq and not help our own. This is a disgrace.

3. First of all he is not Mr. President to me.
He is George Fudwacker. The war is all that seems to matter to him. High gas prices, heat, food, medical coverage and shelter is of very little importance to him for his own people. His priority is protecting his oil fields overseas.

4. With a "president" like him, we don't need enemies! I like to
call him "the resident".

6. Well, the people in New Orleans better hope he did NOT make....
...a speech about rebuilding. My observation is that (as the phrase goes) every single word the fucker says is a lie, including "and" and "the."

So if he says they're going to rebuild, it means they won't.

7. actually, if he said they'd rebuild, it'd mean Halliburton
was already in the process of destroying even MORE of NO on purpose. At twelve times the cost of what it would ACTUALLY cost to destroy it.

8. He DID make a speech - - in front of the cathedral, remember?
It sounded like the freaking New Deal all over again for NOLA.

Then, an hour after the speech, they turned off all the lights and they haven't said a word since.

The last major event was when Shrub went to NOLA on October 10. He made a statement about the need for additional relief efforts in Louisiana and Mississippi on November 20.

12. Simple
The government can give a no-bid contract to Halliburton etc for $250,000,000 of our dollars. They can then contract the work out to another company at a cost of $1,000,000 of their shiny new dollars, leaving Halliburton with $249,000,000 of our money. It's a money-laundering scheme that would make even the Godfather blush.

13. No, he put Rove in charge of the project and Rove is busy
trying to stay out of jail. Meanwhile, thousands suffer needlessly.
