Most Voters Want a Democratic Congress...
http://www.quinnipiac.edu/x11367.xml?ReleaseID=855
A new Quinnipiac poll finds Congress with a paltry 27% approval rating. "Looking at the 2006 Congressional races, voters say 47% to 36% that they would like to see the Democrats win control of Congress."

Meanwhile, President Bush's approval rating at 40% and Vice President Dick Cheney's approval rating at 35%.

4. apathy has been the scourge since long before 2000...
that being said, i hear you suggesting we should not even unfold the tent, to save from having to fold it back up  after no one shows up to vote; cause i'll be at the polls myself and i cannot answer same-wise for others

5. No kidding. They say they want Dems but still vote for THEIR Repuke
congress critter because he/she is MODERATE. How moderate is anyone who would vote for Tom DeLay as majority leader?

11. It is most often the case with Congress
That people hate the bunch as a whole, but love their congressman. Doesn't really matter what party their rep is, but they like him better than all the others.

3. One grain of salt
They might think their Republican Congressperson is doing fine; it's just those other people (in other states or districts) who should get rid of their Republicans.

Still this is a positive sign.

6. Most people know about DeLay. They still haven't heard the
whole story though. Wait until it unravels fully and we see where all the dollars lead - for example
-Cunningham (looks pretty certain)
-Goode (maybe)
-Harris (maybe)
etc. etc. etc.

8. if that is what they want then they'd better wake the f up! NOW!
cuz every single damn thing the GOP dominated congress and presidency is working on right now is set to dismantle what a Democratic Congress set as goals and objectives for what the people want ...

9. The rethugs really fear the possibility
of the Democrats taking over the congress mid term. They know that impeachment proceedings would not be far behind. This is why they will try to rally support over the next few months by distancing themselves from the present administration. At the same time they will try to maintain their identity as Republicans. Its going to be fun to watch.
