How will the airlines view today's events from a business standpoint?
Edited on Wed Dec-07-05 05:02 PM by Lastlaughin08
This can't be good news for the airlines in general - gunslinging aboard an aircraft or in passenger areas. It makes for a bad image.

This Wyatt Earp air-cop had better be damn sure he was 100% justified.................

2. Nobody is ever 100% justified
As far as being a bad image, I beg to differ. I do believe that most people will believe that the airlines are not messing around. Air marshals are not Wyatt-Earp gun slinging people, they have a job to do, and if this in fact had been a passenger with a bomb and there had been no air marshall then think of all the finger pointing. sorry this is a no win situation, and to be critical and sarcastic about the marshals when we do not have the full story is just plain wrong

4. If there is no bomb or weapon on the deceased, then what?
"If" is a big word, isn't it? Cuts both ways sometimes.

3. well i sure as hell ain't ever putting MY bipolar brother on a plane!
hint #1: if someone claims to have seen a bomb, chances are REAL GOOD that there is no bomb. either they're delusional or simply mistaken at least 999 times out of 1000.

hint #2: if you DO see a bomb, do not announce this fact. apparently, trying to alert others to the danger is more lethal to you than staying put. just calmly excuse yourself and let the air marshall and the rest of the plane get blown to bits. at least, that's the message that's being sent by today's actions.
