Hmmm. CNN is fascinated with video of a carry-on bag exploding.

Hmmm. CNN is fascinated with video of a carry-on bag exploding.
It appears to be the bag of the slain passenger on AA 924.

The SWAT team blew up the bag as a precaution. CNN keeps showing the video. I could make out a sock or two, and I think, maybe, a shaving kit.

This is a tragic story, but I can't help but wonder... is anything else going on in the world, today? You wouldn't know it from watching Wolf Blitzer.

3. I think they always blow up suspect bags as a precaution.

5. They said the dogs didn't like the smell of the bag...
.. so they blew it up. But all I saw was a sock or two.

Or, maybe they just inadvertently exploded some really sweet Columbian nugs, which would be a shame. :smoke:

6. Oh, Christ. Wolf just made a 9/11 comparison.
He's really excited now, because he's saying that's the first time since 9/11 that a bag has been removed from on aircraft on US soil and destroyed.

He said something about the great job Homeland Security is doing.

Isn't this a rather tragic case of a mentally disturbed passenger, and has nothing to do with terrorism, or 9/11, at all?

As we all know Gorillas hate luggage. Clearly today demonstrates chimpy hates luggage too. Their must have been a common ancestor that hated luggage.
