You know really...aren't you sick of PANIC TV! Why do we need blow by

blow accounts of this Airline incident. Can't we have an announcement and wait for the facts? Why show the same video over and over, calling in your "terror experts" and discussion after discussion before the facts are in.

It's Panic TV! And, both MSNBC and CNN have to be all over it. It takes presidence over any other news of the day and ends up looking like a bunch of ambulance chasers who just want to have folk tune and be glued to the next hysterical bit of information that may or may not be true.

Sheesh we lived for years with out all this stuff until O.J.'s White Van that seemed to set the tone of Tabloid TV. We don't need this in our homes and yet...we all get glued to the screen. We can't help ourselves and the Media Programmers go for our worst instincts. :-(

to be sensationalized to hold our attention. I think they got the idea from Sesame Street.

and that is tell the networks they'll LOSE VIEWERS if they don't break into soap operas and game shows with some bit of TRIVIAL, LOCAL CRAP that they scream full blast as though the earth is about to open up and swallow half the country.

Gawd, I'm sick of it. If only it would dawn on them that the reason people are watching soap operas, game shows, sitcoms, and even "reality" shows is because they don't want all news, all the time!

That's what the evening propaganda hour is for.

Why can't we wait for "the facts." Is it because the "facts" might be doctored? That might be one factor that is for the "Good" of common experience given the times we live in where propaganda is rampant and promoted by our gubbmit under BFEE.

Or, is it Prurient debasement of our culture? Or, maybe just taking the place of what passed in other centuries to sell newspaper or copy or gossip.

waiting in the wings,drooling, for just such an episode as the one today. I suspect they are making bets on who got the best ratings over it, and 3M is bemoaning the fact that duct tape won't do anything for a situation like this.

I'll be needing help for PTSD if they carry on for much longer. ;)
