I know that many of you are being approached by certain candidates who are actively pursuing their campaigns for Governor to be held in the 2006 election cycle. snip
Having said this, I have spoken with several of you who have expressed your preference to focus only on the 2004 presidential and senatorial cycle and to steer our collective energies toward raising all the money we will need in order to re-elect my brother and a Republican Senator to assist him for four more years. I am sincerely humbled by this outpouring of support for George and I would like to ask each of you to further that focus and not get involved in the 2006 gubernatorial cycle until we do all we can to get my brother re-elected over the next year.

None of us would like to see a repeat of what happened to George in 2000 and I believe very strongly that as Florida becomes an increasing target for the democrats and their national financial resources, it will take each and every one of us to make sure that my brother has all the financial resources he will need to win.
Which means our focus will have to be on one thing and one thing only - reelecting the Bush-Cheney ticket in whatever form that takes.
Each of you has done so much for the Bush family and especially me. For that I am truly grateful. I hope that you will agree to help with this focused effort for President George W. Bush. Please don't hesitate to call me or contact me at jeb@jeb.org if you have any questions or concerns.
