Look for some CHristmas is a Holy Day and would like to celebrate it that way as people have with Joy for many centuries.
For others it is symbolic of Paganism and thus a great opportunity to bash people who take greater meaning.
For other you are simply using as a means to flame other groups of people you do not like, don't trust or out-n-out despise.
For many it is the height of Crass commercialism
For others it is a day off from work hopefully spent with friends and family
For people of other faiths, whatever faiths, its the dominant Holiday of the season and it may not be your cup of tea.
We get it. Can we move on!
Look we have body bags coming home daily to mourning families, we have hundred of thousands displaced by the largest single disaster in US History who have little reason to celebrate, our homeless shelters are overflowing Midterm elections are less than a year away and we have spent the last week pissing and moaning about utterly inconsequential things.
I swear to God, there are people on this site who are more concerned about picking a fight, more concerned about their own myopic, asinine and belligerent opinion being heard than they are mourners, the displaced, the homeless or the impoverished.
Will all of you, please do something, anything to make this world a better, more peaceful, more kind place for the remainder of this month.
It's insideous that we take so much glee in flaming eachother. We ought to be collectively ashamed of ourselves for this whining pablum. You folks are behaving like junior high children.
Can we please focus on issues that matter?
