Is there a way to donate items and goods to help the Iraqi civilians?
Without going through the red cross or similar organization.

I came up with this thought while gathering supplies to send to the troops over in Iraq, and it dawned on me that I was sending toiletries and candy bars to our soldiers who under order of the commander in chief are killing countless of innocent people.

This just does not sit right with me, and I thought that if I could help out the Iraqis at the same time then I wouldn't feel so bad/conflicted about sending the items to the soldiers as well.

Any ideas on this?

    2. I donate to AFSC
Here's a link to their website if you want to check it out.

They help both sides and anyone else who needs it with virtually no overhead costs. They are not intimidated by the government and work closely with other aid groups all over the world.
