ISO: Rideshare to NOLA

Greetings friends. My wife and I have decided that despite our greatest attempts to donate financially, that we ought to donate our time on the ground in the 9th Ward/Downtown NOLA. I am currently seeking a rideshare from the Northeast (Rochester, New York) to link up with Common Ground Relief currently operating out of the lower 9th ward. My intent is on staying as long as possible up to two weeks, I am very flexible with my schedule. If anyone you know who is looking to find rider(s) in order to help transport supplies, or simply offer companionship and cut costs, I could be that individual. but just a word of encouragement.

My daughter went to NO over Thanksgiving with Common Ground Relief and found the effort well organized. She felt her time was well spent and was change by the experience.

She returned last weekend and plans to go back over Christmas. She says Common Ground Relief is pretty much all the help the 9th ward is getting except food from the Red Cross.

The pictures she took were shocking. It looked like the hurrican happened yesterday.

The 9th ward has had no help so far.
