Why are Democrats subjected to Abuse on Don Imus Show?
Why the "set up" of some Clinton impersonator making the most foul jokes about Clinton and Lewinsky, and going through Kerry's botox, Theresa's supposed fist fight with a reporter and other demeaning supposed jokes that are all Right Wing Swift Boating and Clinton baiting?

Why should any Democrat appear on his show and go through that type of abuse and have to smile and laugh through the intended humiliation like John Kerry did this morning?

And what about the "Big Screen" in back of MSNBC set that showed pix of Laura and Chimp and Cheney and Lynn smiling and more clips of Laura and Chimp and their twins with people clapping and cheering and then pix of troops with flags waving while Clinton and Kerry are being treated like objects of derision and ridicule.

Why are are Democrats allowing themselves to go through this? What kind of image does it project? I've seen alot of disgusting attacks on Imus show against Democrats but this morning's attack was the bottom of barrel of swill. Is this the price Dems need to pay to be heard? Is it worth it?

2. Why do you torture yourself
by watching that dried up piece of shit Anus? He looks like a bag lady in a friggen cowboy hat and his jealousy of Stern is almost palpable.

3. Why are you still watching that stubble-chin monkey in a cowboy hat?

He has absolutely zero to say about anything interesting. His goon squad sidekicks are the least funny, most pathetic bunch of amateur standups I've ever seen.

He's a schoolyard bully who thinks he's a cowboy surrounded by a bunch of masochists.

Definitely not entertaining.

8. Unfortunately in this media world circus, it is "de riguer" to appear on
that buffoon's radio program just to be seen, to let people know you still exist as a politician. Sort of in the tradition of "there's no such thing as 'bad' publicity."

Not to mention well-meaning dems find that they can't out-argue "stupid" once they're on the air.

6. Kerry's biggest political problem in my opinion is that he
takes abuse with a patient smile.

7. It was gratifying to hear the responses to
this post. Imus is all that and less. He's a wheezing old self-important fart who slams everybody. He's a misogynist and I always feel like coughing when I surf past his channel.

I couldn't stand him as a teenager on the radio and I can't stand him now.

10. You're right
but at least when he goes after the republicans it is on an issue that deserves to be aired. Usually when he attacks Democrats it's about some bogus issue, like Clinton's penis.

11. Another One of Those Eternal Questions
Like, "Why would ANY Hispanic/Black/Gay ever be a wingnut?" Even without the politics, sL-IMUS is just repellant and repulsive.

As for the two apologies for him: 1) that he does HUGH "charity" and 2) that Dems get exposure (like on Faux)--- 1) Whatever good he does----and it's debatable whether he's actually exploiting those childrend----is compartmentalized over by itself, which does NOT excuse the daily mayhem her perpetrates. and 2) the Dems who perform like monkeys are the most fatuous, self-promoting, spineless ones, lending themselves only to his CONTEMPT as he makes them jump through hoops.

12. Large Audience In Blue States
Imus has high ratings in New York, Boston and reaches a lot of white men in blue states and a few in some red ones as well.

Dare I say, but I give Imus a lot of credit in helping Clinton win several states in '92...especially in the New York primary. Also, the show is popular inside the Beltway...and the egos always like to be fed. I'm sure Biden loves it when he comes to "work" and someone comes up and says "I heard you on Imus".

I catch about an hour of Imus now and then and lately he's been quite critical of booosh...so I'm not as quick to jump all over him. Even Bernie McGuirk...the in-resident mysoginst, homophone and overall bigot, has been kept on a leash.

14. Phil Donahue's show was on MSNBC UNTIL they wanted to start
cheer-leading for the war. Phil's show was THE HIGHEST RATED SHOW ON MSNBC and they canceled it because "people didn't want to hear dissent" and THAT is exactly what their reason was. They are a propaganda network. The ONLY reason Phil's show was canceled was because MSRNC wanted to compete with FAUX NEWS in the run up to the illegal invasion.
