Did anyone see the coverage of the Chicago airplane accident?
My favorite part was the City of Chicago employees in front of the press saying, essentially, "There was nothing wrong with the airport or the plowing so sue Southwest instead of us." Totally throwing the pilot under the bus.

It is nice to see the civic art of covering your ass on a nationwide stage.

3. A City of Chicago employee said it was plowed
Who are you going to believe, what he said or your own lying eyes?

Actually, the snow was pouring down at that time. It is a short runway. They were not able to fly into the wind (wind was out of the SW and that would take the plane over downtown which is a no-no). Many reasons (some political) why this accident happened. Or I could be wrong.

2. There was also the problem of the "Hard Landing" in that
incident. That's why the NTSB is doing the investigation.

It's SOP for each party to instantly say "It wasn't my fault". That happens all the time.

Just wait for the final investigation results.

4. There's enough blame to go around...
a six-year old boy who paid the price! To hell with "passing the buck." Everyone involved in the process of landing that plane ought to come out and say, "We screwed up," apologize to the family, and make reparations without having to be sued. Taking responsibility for your own screw-ups is a value that has been lost in this country.

5. Responsibility
I guess when everyone sees the "president" never taking responsibility for his actions and always passing the buck, it starts rubbing off on people. Our leaders should be the ones setting examples and they're not. It's up to us to be responsible for our own actions and get those bastards out!
