Ann Coulter has a hard time holding on to a job
From Wikipedia:

In 1996, the fledgling television network MSNBC hired Coulter as a legal correspondent and political pundit, launching her media career. Though she was allowed to make many partisan and controversial comments as a panelist, she was fired in 1997 after an exchange with Bobby Muller, president of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation, in which she said, "No wonder you guys lost" (MSNBC's NewsChat, October 11, 1997).

Coulter was contributing editor and syndicated columnist at the National Review Online (NRO) when she was asked by the editors to make changes to a piece written in 2001 directly after the September 11 attacks in which her friend Barbara Olsen had been killed. Coulter went on the national television show Politically Incorrect accusing NRO of censorship and claiming her pay was only five dollars per article (accounts of Coulter and the website differ over which piece was in dispute. ). National Review Online then dropped her column and terminated her editorship. Despite media reports to the contrary, Jonah Goldberg, editor-at-large of NRO claimed "We did not 'fire' Ann for what she wrote.... We ended the relationship because she behaved with a total lack of professionalism, friendship, and loyalty." (Goldberg, 2001)

Ann Coulter was contracted by USA Today to cover the 2004 Democratic National Convention, but was replaced by Jonah Goldberg of NRO after a "disagreement over editing" (Memmot, 2004). Her one and only article from the convention began "Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston", and referred to some (unspecified) female attendees as "corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons". The newspaper did not print the article, but Coulter published it on her website. (Coulter, July 2004)

On August 28, 2005, Coulter's syndicated column was dropped by the Tucson newspaper Arizona Daily Star. David Stoeffler, the publisher and editor of the Star said, "We've decided that syndicated columnist Ann Coulter has worn out her welcome. Many readers find her shrill, bombastic and mean-spirited. And those are the words used by readers who identified themselves as conservatives."

She has no qualifications at all other than "Anorexic, fact-hating, angry fascist".

13. Because she is controversial, and draws an audience. Hannity has
her on because she'll say what he's thinking, but doesn't have the balls to say.

25. I read in Newsweek or Time
in that ridiculous article about her something like "she says she lives on gum, wine, and cigarettes". Um, hello???? Cause THAT'S healthy. Not that I care about her health, really, but it just shows how fucked up she is that she brags about something that stupid.

6. Replaced by Jonah Goldberg
what an excellent bullet for one's resume. I was so fucking bad that they toned the column down to Jonah Goldberg. Ann is run of the mill hateful conservative, they can make a living no other way.

9. I read the column that got her fired
IF you set a chicken on a keyboard and then let spellcheck figure out what you probably meant it would have made more since and been better written (flow, stream of thought, etc.)

It was horrible and that is ME saying that.

Good call! Jonah Goldberg's only credentials are his mommy. And, USA Today thought he was better than Coulter. What a bringdown that had to be.

I read in another thread she was spotted having dinner with Rush Limbaugh. Maybe she'll be his next beard instead of Daryn Kagan.

seems she wasn't very good at that, either.

Hey, she's found her niche in the celebrity culture-- right beside Jessica and Paris...

12. In light of her recent shout down
She spun it as a good thing that she couldn't give her speech on campus, because "she gets paid anyway".

If groups have to pay her to not speak, the demand will wither to nothing.
She gets attention (and money) to voice controversial and hateful opinion. It seems there's a price for that, and she's paying it now.

14. Personality Disorder
Seriously, she is a broken unit, and I think the media is using a mentally ill person for ratings. I would guess that she would qualify for a dual diagnosis, i.e. chemical addiction and narcissistic P. D. and as a result, she needs treatment not a megaphone. If I were a better person, I would find some compassion for her, but I'm not, so I will save it for someone who is less destructive.

For what it's worth, I would bet the farm that she is filled with little more than sadness and rage. She lacks the courage to ever be in a true intimate relationship, as that would mean letting down her defenses and trust another human. I could be wrong, but I would not be surprised to see her name in the obituary.

Remember, she's from a wealthy Connecticut elitist family. In our attacks on Coulter, let us never forget to bring up this point: she's no commoner.

She's probably still making over 5 times my income annually just for writing and has written books and columns which have been read by far more people than my writings, such as they are, will ever reach. TANJ it all!

20. That's The Weird Part, RKZ
There are $8 per hour people in this country who thinks she speaks for them. But, she's a silverspooner who has fashioned a high paying career from being a loudmouth. That's it though. Just a loudmouth. No policy maker asks her advice. She has no clout. She just has a career from getting dumbasses to think she speaks for them, and she's only speaking for her own checkbook.

22. I think they all think she's "one of them" because she has
mentioned going to Kansas City and St. Louis in a few interviews and talked about how great everything is there in such a "working-class non-cosmopolitan" city. But it's bullshit. She's from New Canaan, fer crissakes! A total trust-fund kid all the way, educated at Choate, went to an ivy-league school....she should be the very object of the working man's hatred: a wealthy "intellectual" who promotes the economic ruin of the underclass.

It's just weird.

33. But even if one percent of NYC residents were clueless GOP assholes
surely she could find ONE who would take her out, buy her a pack of Newports and a jug of wine, and show her his purple finger, no? In the city where there's something for everyone, it is rather telling that there is absolutely nothing for her. Of course, when one is about as cuddly as the Ebola virus, it can be a challenge, I imagine!

He lost his hearing due to his heavy use of narcotics. I have known two other narcotics users to whom this happened, though they are not completely deaf. (Probably they couldn't afford as much junk as rich Rush could afford, so they didn't use as much.)

The good news: he's not fat any more.
