Well, when you write a book saying that women should stay home and bake cookies for their family, and that women who work are she-devil-Lesbian-Feminists-bent-on-destroying the family, then half the population may take offense to it.

Why must conservatives always blame others for their failures? The people decide whose elected, not the press.

I did (his and Byrd's). I don't live in PA anymore, but I'd love to see Saintmoran get the heave-ho.

As a PA resident in a very Republican section of the state, (yes, the old George Carlin joke IS correct: PA is odd, it has Philly in the east, Pittsburgh in the west, and Alabama right i nthe middle), I can confidently say that it does seem like the tide is shifting here. About January of this year I think I hit my low point as a Democrat. Things just looked terrible for us and we couldn't seem to mount an arguement against the GOP. People started to believe that Bush was being truthful, that the war was goign well, etc., and I didn't have a leg to stand on in some arguements. However, now it seems like there is a difference. There seems to be a hint of REVOLTION in the air. Gas got waaay too expensive here over the summer, the CIA leak investigation tarnished the GOP, and Santorum's ultra-right wing views are finally starting to see some knowledgeable opposition. Arlen Specter is at least a half- respectable senator, but Santorum I'm just plain embarrassed of. Hopefully Casey can beat his ass hardcore. People around here, in what is normally a GOP stronghold, are finally beginning to see that everything Santorum says and stands for is an idiotic lie and he is a terrible person overall.

And what's west of Alabama? Mississippi.
