If CNN is so darn liberal...

...why did they send out a "Breaking News" e-mail about the death of Richard Pryor, but not about the death of Eugene McCarthy?

... been on an aircraft that had to circle the airport for hours due to faulty landing gear, or had been a 'runaway bride', or had worn pyjama pants to a trial, he would have gotten non-stop coverage for weeks!

Too bad he was merely an American Patriot ...

2. Because more people have heard of Pryor

McCarthy was a great man by all accounts, but the simple fact of the matter is that more people have heard of Richard Pryor. I think it's that simple. After 1969 or so, McCarthy sort of faded out of sight to be a private citizen where Pryor made movies and numerous comedy appearances at clubs everywhere. Showbiz society that we live in.

5. Um...I may be near your age group

I remember McCarthy and McGovern and HHH and RFK, etc. I was just stating a fact. Ask 100 people randomly who out the two they've heard of and I'll bet that most would say Pryor.
