David Brooks on MTP
Did anybody else hear him say he hopes the Democrats take the House in 2006 because it would be good for Bush and the country to have some balance?

I almost fell out of my chair!

3. I don't. He was on Imus and made an off the cuff remark
Edited on Sun Dec-11-05 02:35 PM by Skwmom
about how reporters sucking up to gain access (favorable reporting) was no big deal, and just part of the game.

7. Every now and then he makes a comment
or takes a position that makes me think he is not totally wacko, but then he speaks his mind.

There must be something major in the wind for him to speak like this. He said this on the
Jim Lehrer hour Friday night.

5. I disagree with him too, and......
.....he has been the worst Bush apologist on TV. What he said today was shocking, and I wonder if it reflects a growing effort among Republican strategists to make the best of a certain defeat.

6. Yeah, then he said that the Dems were "corrupted" by being
out of power. He tried to reverse the cliche about absolute power corrupting absolutely by adding a corollary: "Being out of power also corrupts absoltely." Then said that such a scenario has made the Dems "unserious."

Brooks deserves a hard, open-handed slap. Arrogant fuck.

8. He also compared Iraq to VietNam
and then said that if things didn't get better by the end of next year that most of the public will have had enough.

What planet is this guy on????
