how about a war on christmas MUSIC?
i'm already SICK of it. i swear, everywhere i go, even on the sidewalks in manhattan, i can't get away from it.

while the 'debate' 'rages' about whether employees who might not even be christian should be required to say 'merry christmas' to customers who might also not be christian, the music piped in overhead is quietly, or sometimes not so quietly, praising young virgin mothers and christ our savior.

i wouldn't be surprised to find christmas music in a kosher deli for pete's sake. let's not forget that the whole commercialization of christmas was started primarily by a few jewish merchants....

how about at least they play the dreidel song every few hours?

4. Working at a hotel -
Muzak been on since day after T-giving. and WE CANT CHANGE THE STATION!!! per management. I have just heard Johnny Mathis' "Sleigh Ride" for the 576th time! It's the same 50 songs over and over - all easy listening - nothing with a beat. Fundies love it. Oh just once can you give us Charles Brown's "White Christmas" or Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolph" or even Insane Clown Posse's "Santa Is a Fat Bitch."
Well, maybe not that last one (but it IS an actual "holiday" song.)

10. that song is set to wagner's ride of the valkyries
and wagner's music was put to anti-semitic use by hitler.

so may be there's something to that.

on the other hand, wagner was a musical genius and frankly, i love his music regardless of his own views towards jews or how his music was later (ab)used.

11. Wagner was an asshole.
But a brilliant one.

I love the Ring. (It's even on my iPod... Yes, the entire thing, all 18 hours.) Of the four opera Gotterdammerung is my fave, Die Walkure, second. I have the Solti version, The Golden Ring, brilliantly engineered by John Culshaw.

But what an asshole Wagner was!!

12. Just Leave Out TSO!
Make war on whatever Christmas music you want, just leave out the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! I love those guys (and girls).
