1. Ask them This>>>
It's a fact that Enron Co. screwed the Shareholders out of their life savings (as have many other Companies)
It's also a fact that by doing so, they have caused Tremendous stress on those same shareholders.
Keep in mind that the "Ones at the Top" did this "Screwing" with full knowledge of their actions.
It's also a fact (As any Doctor will tell you) that Tremendous stress, especially on the older Generation,
will..I repeat WIll, shorten life...So..

What's worse: Taking the life of ONE person or shortening the lives of 24,000 ?

I don't Know...But I do know this..You'll never see those "Top Enron Crooked Bastards"
go to the Death Chamber for extinguishing and shortening Lives..

2. Probably not exactly what you're looking for
but there is good information to be had at www.innocenceproject.org/

They try to help people who've run out of other options, and they've had 164 exonerations so far.

3. Over 100 people have been exonerated after being sentenced to death

If even a single innocent person has been executed (a very high likelihood, especially in Texas), that's too many.

For instance: http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/11/20/texas.execution.ap/

If, indeed, this man was innocent, how can anyone justify ever executing anyone? There are no mulligans in life. If you kill someone, and then clear their name, they're still dead.

China, Iran, Vietnam and the US are the top executioners in the world. Great company, huh?
