5. A new nickname for smirky - "Bubble Boy" . It appears that the Bush
advisors have staged an "intervention" to get through to him that his sophomoric way of interacting with the press isn't working anymore.

8. Watching His Explanation Was Even Funnier
Brian Williams either is the biggest shill on the planet (my take...why General Electric has him as their "boy") or had to be thinking how he was being used and played in this photo op. I'm all but sure the later than the former as the questions were framed in a way for boooosh to shoot them down without even a decent follow-up. Lies and spin went unchallenged while all the critics were "addressed" and dispatched. Mission accomplished. Brian now gets his NASCAR front row pass revised for next season and a real good table at next year's White House press dinner.

When Williams hit him with the "bubble" line, it was amusing to see the response. You could tell the fukstick was "prepared" for this question...and then did the most telling thing. He started to blab about himself...a typical defense technique. He claimed how he'd love to walk out the door to go shopping. I'd love to see that oxygen thief, like his inept old man, try to stand in a check out line and figure out what that wierd scanning device is all about. My bets are the last time this dude went shopping by himself, it was for a quick dime bag.

The other humorous moment was when asked if he was "connected" and then the moron showed his "conpetence" by saying he had just met the new Honduran President. So what? Are we getting ready to invade Nicauragua again? Why didn't Williams ask about other leaders? Or was that a taboo question...since boooosh probably couldn't name a handful.

17. If NBC had sent a real journalist to talk to Bush
When Bush said nonsensical things about going out shopping or meeting with the president of Honduras, a real journalist could have/would have bored in on him: What is the price of commodities? What is the median family income? How do your policies help families below the median income afford life's necessities? Where is Honduras? What problems in Central America are you working on right this minute? Do you know or can you name ANY of the problems facing any nation in Central America?

Instead, Williams went to his next scripted, pre-approved question, staying on script like the professional actor he is, and never once betraying a scintilla of surprise or skepticism about what a blathering buffoon was sitting in front of him. In five years or so, Williams will write a book detailing for all us simpletons how much he knew about Bush administration incompetence and corruption, and how he manfully kept the lid on it all so he could sell more books in 2010 and make even more money.

19. Have you wondered how NBC now has gotten 3 inside interviews?
Brokaw did two now Williams gets an all day all access pass.

You are right about the response to the bubble question. Bush tried to sound like Mr.everydayguy shopping guy. HE was clearly prepped for that.

Did you notice how Williams was dismissed from the oval office. I know that it is THE oval office and all that but W just stood there until Williams was gone -maybe it was just poorly shot by NBC- and W looked like he had something dirty to do so he waited for the coast to be clear. It was odd looking whatever was actually going on there.

The "talked to a world leader" thing is constantly used by this White House. Ari used to outline W's day something like this "He arose then received his national security brief made some calls to world leaders (as opposed to county administrators I guess) and answered some phone calls"

Gee does that sound anywhere near a full day to you? No probably not. The "talked to world leaders" is simply something that they must think really impresses everyone OOOOHH WORLD LEADERS. BTW- we now know that much of what W was doing the first four years was making phone calls to religious leaders in the US basically in a constant get out the vote/campaign operation.
One more thing-getting a security briefing is not any great thing or new thing that only W does. Everyone has started their day with that and truth be told it usually isn't anything that major. Of course we also now know that the PDB was boiled down to 1 1/2 pages (to recap the entire world sitrep) and no one paid any attention to it.

Basically W does nothing but campaign by phone, read a teleprompter, and collect checks.

22. I'd Love To See The Phone Logs
Excellent observations. I didn't see the entire "tour"...just enough to know this was another PR job that was highly scripted. Yes, modus operandi for this regime to pull such a stunt to create a false picture to cover up the on-going incompetence and corruption that permates that office. Surely the day this goon is dragged...with curtains in tow...from that room, we WILL have to fumigate and totally de-bug and de-louse the place. The stench of this inept shell of a human form is hideous...and so transparent.

Ya gotta love that "world leader" bullshit since we know that most leaders wouldn't be caught within' a Texas mile of this fukstick and surely few have much in common...unless they're corrupt and inept as well. The conversation wouldn't mean anything anyway as it's been proven over and over this asshat only listens to the voices in his drug and alcohol soaked brainstem and is so uninformed as to foreign cultures and politics that whatever he hears is mumbo jumbo...fuzzy math.

You rarely see "action" photos of this shitforbrains that aren't staged...or exploited and there are few who come out of that bubble world with anything complimentary to say. Just ask Paul O'Neill. My bets are most of his day is spent in whatever short-sighted, short-termed self interest that strikes his fancy. Be it watching a football game and choking on pretzls and stale beer or plotting with his buddies to out CIA agents and destroy the economy cause it'll make his friends all happy. A very simple human form that demostrates less and less human and leadership abilities as the real truth of his poor character come forward. Williams couldn't gloss this over...and it appears he didn't try.

How ironic this regime claims it's not "poll driven" or swayed by money. You know that's some of the biggest bullshit...and there's a truckload stinkin' up the place. When the going gets tough...where does this crapface go? Fundraising. That's what he was doing when New Orleans was flooding. You know he's gotta love spending time with his money buddies...getting his ass kissed and trading favors that mean lives and liberties like it's paying back old IOUs or getting new markers for the next game. Shameless.

Again...kudos for your observations...

:hi:

"Every morning I look at the newspaper," Bush told NBC. "I can't say I've read every single article in the newspaper. But, I definitely know what's in the news."

Someone should tell him the funnies, the crossword puzzles, and the Mini Page don't count.
