Did I hear that right? First it was a laptop, now it's a poem. And they all talk about finishing the "mission". Hmm....

8. I got so upset when I heard this
A guy who had a scholarship for Stanford University and a bright future, joined the army after 9/11 and was killed last month in Iraq. I had tears in my eyes. Such a wastes life! He could have done great work as a scientist to "make the world a better place" like Bush always says. How can Bush choose such an example! Shame on you, Mr. pResident!

9. he did. didn't he?
This seems like an appropriate place for me to make my introduction...

Hello Everyone...

The Shrub? Freaking one-trick pony. I started my stopwatch the minute * began speaking. 10seconds, that's how long it took him to mention 9/11.

Nice that * can emphasize with some starry-eyed kid who bought into the bullshit and paid with his life. The part * left out? That kid (along with many others) should be alive. And if not for *, they would be.

I know you guys already know this, and I don't mean to rant. It's hard not to after seeing * "relate" to the kids who have died for his "Noble Cause".

Hello again, nice to be here.

10. Welcome to DU, glad that you have joined.
If you look at that last 5 speeches, they all start with "On September the 11th 2001"...

3. Yes. He said the Marine didn't vote for him, but supported
the mission. The Marine is dead, so whatever words the blivet claims the soldier said, or whatever he might have thought, are not confirmable.

4. We need a petition
If Bush quotes dead soldiers he must attend the funerals. Bottom Line.

13. We really should do something like that
Edited on Wed Dec-14-05 12:03 PM by ultraist
Start spreading the message: STOP EXPLOITING OUR TROOPS.

The slimebag cannot even see to it that our fallen soldiers are treated with respect. They are flown home as freight, not given a proper return, overextended by being back door drafted, used as HIST backdrop for HIS PR campaigns, etc...

7. Exploiting the troops again
Fake poems, fake letters, using them as HIS backdrop to support HIS political agenda, leaving them over there, dangerously overstretched, without proper equipment...not to mention, they should never have been sent over there in the first place.

12. What? Again??
Boy, you know, that sucker gets to those dead soldiers' pockets quicker than the undertaker does!

I wonder if he gets his spending money that way, too?

14. Of course he gets his spending money by exploiting our troops
Through war profiteering. The more big corps that make money off this war, the more donations and stock profits go into his pocket.

16. True--nice of those young guys to steer that pocket change his way.
We all know how rich people never carry any cash; because of these young people, Georgie has a little pocket change of a few billion, in case he has to tip a taxi driver or buy a breath mint or something.

15. George W. Bush = Emmeline Grangerford
From "Huckleberry Finn":

"Every time a man died, or a woman died, or a child died, she would be on hand with her 'tribute' before he was cold. She called them tributes. The neighbors said it was the doctor first, then Emmeline, then the undertaker--the undertaker never got in ahead of Emmeline but once... She warn't ever the same after that; she never complained, but she kinder pined away and did not live long."

Careful, George. Keep on your toes. You don't want the undertaker to beat you to any of them dead bodies--you might be so disappointed that you'd pine away just as Emmeline did.
