Boortz: Execution will cause looting by rappers & NBA players
Boortz predicted L.A. riots would follow Williams execution; forecasted looting by "aspiring rappers and NBA superstars"

In a December 12 weblog post, nationally syndicated radio host Neal Boortz predicted that California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger would commute the sentence of convicted murderer Stanley "Tookie" Williams to life imprisonment because "Schwarzenegger knows full well that as soon as Tookie's death is announced there will be riots in South Central Los Angeles and elsewhere." Boortz wrote that "there are thugs just waiting for an excuse ... not a reason, an excuse" and explained that "the rioting, of course, will lead to wide scale looting." Boortz added: "There are a lot of aspiring rappers and NBA superstars who could really use a nice flat-screen television right now." The weblog entry, titled, "They're just looking for an excuse, not a reason," also contained a poll asking readers: "Is it worth it to commute Tookie's sentence to life in prison if it saves Los Angeles from rioting?"

After Williams's execution, Boortz posted a December 13 weblog entry titled, "When I'm wrong, I'm wrong." Boortz informed readers that Williams "was put to a much-deserved death last night" and that "there was no rioting in Los Angeles." Boortz acknowledged that "everyone's flat-screen TV and Ibox seems to be safe, for now." He added: "Someone correctly opined yesterday that it was too cold in Los Angeles for riots right now." Boortz also posted a new poll, this time asking, "Why do you think there were no riots in LA after Tookie Williams was executed?" Readers could choose between two answers: "it's too cold in LA right now"; or, "there was no perceived injustice in the execution of Williams."

5. Chickenhawk supreme. He weasled out of Vietnam.
He's a pilot and in good health. I'm sure that the GA NAtional Guard would take him and send him to Iraq.

3. Neal Boortz is an awful, awful person.
I live in GA. In my town, he is broadcast on not one but two AM stations at the same time M-F. He spews hate for the poor and downtrodden daily. I don't understand how his female producer and black, male co-host stand him. I suppose they're in it for the money.

7. He makes one good point
I mean how else would NBA superstars be able to get a flat screen TV besides stealing it?

I have no idea who Boortz is but he is a horrid little person.

The biggest injustice in ages was ignoring Katrina survivors. I think people in NOLA disappointed bush by NOT rioting despite days of abandonment, despite horrible conditions with no help.

The death penalty is always, always wrong but compared to Katrina response this was a small injustice.

Through Google, I found this webpage that has a good collection of entries about Boortz and his hatred of anyone who isn't rich and white. It should bring you up to speed. :hi:

8. Hatemonger Racist...
Why mince words--rappers and NBA superstars is code--for African-American.

Boortz added: "There are a lot of BLACKS who could really use a nice flat-screen television right now."

Clearer now...?

Funny how this POS racist can spout this stuff against a backdrop of 'aspiring soft rock singers and footballers' in Australia actually rioting. I am sure they have an eye on an opportunity for a big screen TV as well.

10. He's a fake Libertarian Atlanta based radio host who votes Republican and
spouts the RW line daily on a syndicated show. The only good thing I can say about him is that he refuses to discuss abortion on the show. He's not a fundy. He's just another greedy, RW asshat. He thinks that poor people are stupid and bad.

12. I'm not black but I am an LA native
If I saw him out while I was behind the wheel of a vehicle, it would take every ounce of my self control not to run him over.
