Tell us what you would like to see in the 2004 elections?
This is only asking a question for those who would like to express their feelings, and their support of their candidate for results they are working for. There's alot of us who haven't made up our minds, those who just read the site and those that say "Anyone but Bush" your overall general expectations of the 2004 elections, besides the worry over our votes counting with a necessary paper trail.

Tell us all in your own words without fear from any personal attacks from anyone, your opinion and true gut feelings of the 2004 elections in any aspect you wish to discuss it.
This thread may help others deceide, motivate and still hold out Hope that we will replace Bush and have some real change for all of the people that desperately need it. Our world will be a better place when we have a Democrat in the White House and as many in the Senate and Congress.

...the soldiers we are losing day after day...and yet Bush speaks of Democracy in Iraq when our own is so weaken by him in office.
What really is the scary part is the Media to his advantage is selling the American people who are too busy trying to survive themselves to even know the real truth. The War on terrorism and Iraq got into the mix...alive and well now since the invasion.

Our tax dollars going into a place we didn't want to go...while our roads, streets and bridges are breaking apart here at home, and our people both physically and spiritually.

3. only thing i want
Is fair and balanced (yes i know how stupid that sounds) reporting from both parties about everything.

Not like 90% reporting for the republicans just because Arnold will make a speech.

4. I'd like to see mass citizen action
Letters to the editor speaking about the truth. We are not financially, emotionally or physically safer since Bush took office. He is not a uniter.... our nation has never been more divided.

No matter where one lives... whether their free speech is appreciated or not, I think that people who have lost their jobs and freedoms should speak louder than ever.

5. Me, too.
Mass citizen action...voices raised. I would like to see 100% voter turnout, and a country energized and organized to reclaim democracy.

6. Total reform of the electoral process and an end to the system
of presidential patronage:

I'd like to see the Dems vote in mandatory secret ballot for all those holding offices of state, so that each ministerial job is accountable to a constituency electorate

7. I posted a link
to an op/ed piece that pretty much says it for me on nadinbrzezinski's "Well well went to see Kucinich thread." I'd like to see him defy all the popular wisdom and win the nomination, then beat Smirk on integrity alone - which I believe he can do - and prove that one person really can make a difference. The time for Kucinich is now, not 2008 when everything is totally FUBAR.

Also in the dare-to-dream category, I'd like to see Mike Miles beat the crap out of Ben Nighthorse Campbell. For a minute there I got all excited thinking Gary Hart might run and force the Spitehorse to put on a real campaign and talk to people and stuff.

11. A UN trial for the War Criminals and Despots worldwide!
Bush wants World Government, how about some worldwide accountability for mass murder! Bush thinks American schoolkids should face accountability, but he will not be brave like the children who will be forced to make the grade! Look at the example Bush, Cheney, Arnold, O'Really and Rush are setting for those kids! Kids will want to grow up and be the GodFather instead of President!

10. A campaign that actually
dealt with issues, not personalities or sound-bites. A debate that was of genuine substance, not just each candidate spouting talking points. Honest coverage on the part of the media of what's going on.

12. I'd like to see a candidate promise transparency
People on both sides of the fence are sick of the on-camera empty promises followed by secret negotiations that really determine policy. This should be one of Bush's most vulnerable issues, and I hear people decrying it, but no one promising to do any different.

Screw the ends! Show us the means and the decisions that led to them and then let us decide whether you're right.
