First caller, asking if people are just stupid, or are they not paying attention...

Corn responds: hold President accountable, tend to be deferential, tend to want to believe person occupying WH, especially after 911. (no one wants to believe he's a fucking traitor that let 911 happen for political expediency - my editorializing). Commenting on Bush's tying Iraq and 911 and the media's late reporting of the LIE...

but the "con" callers are just outrageously stupid and viscious this morning.
The "pro" callers sound like such reasonable and intelligent people.

if he has read the book... the guy said yes and then could not quote anything from the book. The caller was exposed as a dumb liar!

David just challenged a guy who claimed to have read his book.. .obviously he didn't...and David made the guy look like the fool he is! He called David a liar and could not point out the lie in the book. Excellent! He's not going to let the freepers get away with their crap today. YEAH!

when a person responds impulsively to something, and doesn't implement a thought out plan of action. Like, not reading someone's book before you condemn it, to the author, on C-SPAN, like a dumb ass.

...just one. The FIRST caller brought up Clinton. This is the second caller that is now saying the FBI files are more severe than the Plame leak... That's the second Bushbot caller, the other call was a "Disagree w/ Bush" caller, so we don't count him ;)

...please, anyone calling in on "Disagree w/ Bush", David Corn has written a book on the deceptions of George Bush, and he's rightly pointing out that plenty of people are living and criticizing Bush, granted, some people might have something to fear, but Corn wrote about Bush's lies, let's stay on topic when appropriate. Many people out there might just be ignorant, misinformed, let them have their doubts seeded and grown...

asks Corn if he feels life is in jeopardy. Also mentions Bush body count Web site.

Corn says he doesn't fear for life, mentioned other authors like Franken and Ivins and that they've been alive for years doing this. Equates Bush body count with Clinton body count and says both are hyperbolic.

Of course, brings up Clinton. Corn notes he also took Clintons to task as well.

...this caller comes on to say a prayer to George Bush because he's pacifying the barbarians. Jesus, what a fruitcake. OMG, ok, no matter how loony any of the "lefties" that call in sound, that guy just topped them tenfold.

Dems don't have money to buy book. Says Clinton is a liar, wagged his finger and said he didn't have sex with that woman. I don't know about all of you, but I would much rather have a president lying about sex than lying about war.

since I never get up early enough to watch Washington Journal.

I can't wake up at 5 A.M. It's been fun reading this thread and then watching it unfold. Corn is so relaxed, centered and articulate. A few words go a long way.

would use David Corn more on her show - instead she uses the Brookings Institute guy, who claims he is a Democrat but is right of center. If they have a reasonable Republican on her show, I can't tell where Republican Guy ends and Brookings Guy begins (don't know his name, do you recall?) One day if B.G. said "in all fairness to the Bush Administration" one more time I figured I'd have to drive down to the studio and give him what for.
