BP Alert: Ann Coulter asks "WHY CAN'T I GET ARRESTED?"

By Ann Coulter Wed Dec 14, 8:11 PM ET

I'm getting a little insulted that no Democratic prosecutor has indicted me. Liberals bring trumped-up criminal charges against all the most dangerous conservatives. Why not me?

Democrat prosecutor Barry Krischer has spent two years and hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to find some criminal charge to bring against Rush Limbaugh. Political hack Ronnie Earle spent three years and went through six grand juries to indict Tom DeLay. Liberals spent the last two years fantasizing in public about Karl Rove being indicted. Newt Gingrich was under criminal investigation for 3 1/2 years back in the '90s when liberals were afraid of him. Final result: No crime.

And of course, everybody cool in the Reagan administration was indicted. Or at least investigated and persecuted. Reagan's sainted attorney general Ed Meese was criminally investigated for 14 months before the prosecutor announced that he didn't have anything (but denounced Meese as a crook anyway).

...

I've done a lot for my country. I think I deserve to be indicted, too. How am I supposed to show my face around Washington if I haven't been "frog-marched" out of my office by some liberal D.A. looking to move to D.C. for the next Democratic administration? What's a girl have to do to become a "person of interest" around here? Mr. Krischer, where do I go to get rid of my reputation?
---------------------------

C'mon, we're compassionate LW people. Surely we can come to the aid of Ann Coulter :hi: and help her with her little 'problem'. :puke:

We may not be LE, but I'm sure if we put our heads together :grouphug: we can come up with something.

2. No don't indict her
I'm thinking more along the lines of being "renditioned" off to a secret Eastern European prison, never to be heard from again.

She had better hope that a Democrat doesn't ever win again. Her friends who just renewed the Patriot Act may come to regret that move once the executive branch--and that's who interprets and administers the Patriot Act--is in the hands of their opponents.

17. I could personally give two shits about Ann's desire to become
some ho-bag's shower mate in prison. If you can't even get arrested in your town, doesn't that point to how unimportant you are? Nobody cares about your secret sexual fantasies. Go actually break a law, and we'll consider touching you with a ten-foot-pole.

On reflection, I don't get it... I thought republicans charged that dems were 'soft on crime' now we're too eager to investigate?

if you're guilty of Doctor shopping and abusing drugs, like Rush, or have broken campaign financing laws, like DeLay, or subverted Democracy and outed a CIA Agent, like Rove.......then maybe we'd come knocking on your door with a subpoena for you, shithead! As of right now you're nothing more than a pseudo-intellectual, loud-mouthed, shrill, Reich-wing harpy. Break the law and then there will be something to arrest you for. If there was a law against stupidity and ignorance, you'd have been arrested long ago.
Why is it that the loudest, most shrill, egotistic, empty headed individuals make the most noise? Just shut the fuck up, Annthrax.

39. If Ann really wants to get arrested, hand her a cup
She called Ed Meese "Reagan's sainted attorney general." You've got to be on some seriously potent shit to consider Ed Meese, one of America's greatest porn aficionados, sainted.

So we give Ann Coulter a piss test, run it through the best battery of drug assays on the market, and charge her with simple possession of whatever's in there.

Okay, she MIGHT get 14 days in the county cooler, but check this out: We buy her mugshots. We take pictures of her being led out of the courtroom to the van that will take her to the joint for her two week stay. The county jail she's sent to will become the most peaceful house of incarceration in America because the jailer will call a meeting and announce to the inmates that anyone so much as raises their voice and we'll put Ann Coulter in your cell. (And then we've got 500 inmates trying to sue the county for cruel and unusual punishment...) We take pictures of her being released. And then we create a photo album and sell it by spamming freepers, with all profits to be donated to reduce the national deficit.

It's a win-win. Ann Coulter gets to go to jail like she said she wanted to, the employees of some county jail get two weeks of absolute peace and quiet, a lawyer at the ACLU gets a fun case to work on, the national deficit gets reduced by a LOT, and Nikon makes a few bucks because I'm certain that after taking pictures of Ann Coulter, my old camera will melt.

My own thought was to send her to an exorcist, as only God could absolve her of her "reputation" (which is obviously the result of being possessed by too many demons to be counted).

But yours is at least as much fun and far more profitable.

Appointee Tells of Loans Arranged For Meese - The New York Times

3/13/84
Attorney General-designate Ed Meese admits that he "inadvertently failed to list" a $15,000 interest-free loan from a man who later received a federal job (as did his wife and his son) in his financial disclosure statements. He explains that "it never occurred to me that an interest-free loan was a thing of value."

1/28/85
Lawyers for Ed Meese, who has been renominated for Attorney General, reveal that the Office of Government Ethics found him in violation of federal ethical standards.

11/25/86
President Reagan appears in the White House briefing room to say he "was not fully informed on the nature of one of the activities" undertaken as an off-shoot of the Iran arms deal. He announces that National Security Adviser John Poindexter has resigned and NSC staffer Oliver North has been fired, then introduced Ed Meese to explain why:

"Certain monies which were received in the transaction between representatives of Israel and representatives of Iran were taken and made available to the forces in Central America which are opposing the Sandinista government there," says Meese. "We don't know the exact amount yet. Our estimate is that it is somewhere between $10 and $30 million...The President knew nothing about it."

Ed Meese appears on TV to assure viewers that "the President knows what's going on."

7/18/88
Independent counsel James McKay reports that though he thinks prosecution is unwarranted, he has concluded that Ed Meese "probably violated the criminal law" four times since becoming America's chief law enforcement officer. McKay says Meese filed a false income tax return, failed to pay capital gains taxes on time, and participated in decisions about matter in which he had a financial interest. A furious Meese responds, "McKay doesn't know beans about criminal law, let alone taxes. I've had a reputation all my life for scrupulous honesty and integrity, and frankly I'm outraged by this sort of report. The only person who says there is a criminal violation is Mr. McKay and he's wrong."

7/19/88
The Justice Department opens an investigation into Ed Meese's possible violation of federal ethics laws.

8/12/88
Ed Meese serves his last day as Attorney General.

62. Poor Bubba...
...you can just see the six-inch grooves his fingernails will leave in the wall as he tries to escape his fate.

57. Hell. We want her deported, not stuck here.
:) Unfortunately, deporting Ann Coulter is likely a war crime.

69. And since Bush says we don't torture (and he never lies)
we couldn't send Ann to talk at 'enemy combatants' until they spewed.

59. For the same reason a housefly isn't arrested - it's an annoyance, but not
important enough to merit arrest.

71. May be she's too stupid
If you want to get arrested and can't then you are too stupid to get arrested. Period.

Yes investigating your leaders is wrong. You must blindly follow them. Never ask, never want to be told. That's how good governments are made. Anne would be interesting if she was a bit more intelligent in her takes.
