Anyone have a Photo of LBJ's Limousine from Dallas? (A Favor & QT-movie)
Edited on Mon Oct-20-03 12:35 PM by Octafish
The reason I ask is that I've always been concerned the Secret Service left JFK a sitting duck. The car following JFK's Lincoln was FILLED with SS. I remember reading LBJ got protected that day. Where was JFK's protection?

Sorry to sound so monomaniacal. I was just wondering, does anyone have a photo of LBJ's car? Is there a photo taken at the time of the shooting? As they say, "Thanks in advance!"

And a short Quicktime movie showing an agent getting "ordered" off JFK's limousine. No kidding.

Here's a bunch more on the subject of the Bush-JFK link at

"If Bush thinks NAZI thing is bad, wait till JFK stuff goes public!"

EDIT: Rephrased title.

1. Yeah,
whatreallyhappened.com has some stuff on the JFK assassination. I've seen a picture of LBJ's car behind JFK's....when the shooting started, apparently the doors of his car opened before anyone in JFK's car even reacted.

2. The uncropped Altgens photo
shows LBJ's limo. It looks unguarded.

The most chilling thing about Altgens? Kennedy's been shot, there's reaction to the gunfire, and look at the Secret Service agent staring straight ahead at Kennedy. He's grinning.

3. One thing to note:
Johnson's secret service detail is in the fourth car back. The car doors are already open as they rush to protect the VP. Kennedy's detail hasn't moved at all.

4. And compare the picture of the man in the doorway

to Oswald shortly after his arrest:

The Warren Commission "identified" the individual as Billy Lovelady, a fellow Book Depository employee. But while Lovelady identifed the person in the Altgens' photo as himself, he also stated that he'd worn a red and white vertically striped shirt on the day of the assassination The man in the doorway's shirt in not striped and is open in front, exposing the tee shirt underneath.

In color films taken from another angle, the color of the shirt worn by the man in the doorway was revealed to be orange-brown. When Oswald was arrested, he was wearing the identical shirt- an orange-brown tweed with missing buttons and tee-shirt underneath.

Other films taken on November 22, 1963 revealed that Lovelady was in fact wearing a red and blue plaid shirt.

5. wonder what the 2 SS on the right side of the car are looking at?
while we're on the JFK subject ...

ever googled/researched "Ruth Paine" ... the role she played in the background and her genealogy (she is a 'Forbes', of Massachusetts)

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Ruth+Paine+and+Forbes+family

we had an interesting thread going last May ... but the archives in DU1 are a bit of a mess ... tried to retrieve it recently ...

6. I never took that guy grinning too seriously...
look at the blond lady on the left...she's grinning too. I don't think people really understood what was going on....
The most important thing in that picture is Oswald in the doorway.

7. It could mean nothing,
but he's Secret Service, the smiling blonde isn't. And since other agents have had enough time to react to the gunfire, I find that he's sitting there, staring straight ahead at Kennedy and grinning, somewhat disconcerting.

9. Yes, it does look like no SS agents are riding outside.
Thanks, Minstrel Boy! I can see someone who looks like Lady Bird back in the lighter color convertible.

Still, I'm wondering if we have a clear, unambiguous photo. Some stuff I remember reading mentioned that LBJ was quaking on the floor as soon as the shots rang out and he had some SS guys draped across the top of the car — like Clint Hill alone did for JFK's car.

Did you see that Quicktime movie in the original link above? At least one secret service guy tries to mount the back of the limo, but is ordered OFF by someone. Gee. Wouldn't that be a sign the government had a hand in this horrible thing?

8. Death ride in Dallas
Last time I was in Dallas I went to Dealy for the first time in a very long time. Seen the guy in front of the depository with the death ride car. Identical to JFK's car, this guy runs the route from Love field through DT to Parkland hospital. Very f@*cking eirie...:)

Also, my 11 th grade history teach served on the House assasination comittee. He has interviewed everyone from Marina to Ruth Paine....EVERYONE in Dallas, the doctors at Parkland and the pathologists at Bethesda.

I still support the manhole theory. If you are ever there check out the manhole in the street in front of the knoll.

10. The evidence is right in front of your face
watch the zapruder film: The limo slows down for the shot.

it's going along, slows down, POP, speeds back up again.

It was fully planned and probably practiced.

11. Possibly. There's also the chance...
... the driver thougth the shots were coming from the front. In that case, he, naturally, would stop from entering the killing zone. But, going from that little Quicktime film take at Love Field, I think — no, fear — you are correct. Someone told the SS to stand down. Hmmm. Who would have more power than the President?
