Can someone in Congress finally have the guts to bring up charges
of Impeachment?
I truly think NOW is the time to take this SOB out of the White House and correct what has gone wrong in this country.

How much more will it take to wake this nation up to what has happened to what we once called America?

1. I agree with you a hundred percent, but our pink tutu Democrats
and cowardly moderate Republicans won't do it unless we light a fire under them. Threats to vote for the Green candidate in 2006 if they don't do it might work, however, I think we, at the grass roots level, are going to have to brainstorm a way to get our elected Reps to get off their asses and into doing this.

6. Et tutu, too, Cleita?
Saw something of interest on McLaughlin last night but get disinterested by shorthand terms that SHOW that we are starting with false assumptions, which will hamper the brainstorming.

Oh well.

2. I asked my congressman that question
and he wrote back thanking me for my thoughts...BS BS BS..
BUT
There is no legislation right now but that he would keep my thoughts in mind if
blah blah BS...BS....BS

I wrote back letting him know I appreciate his thoughts but that was the idea.....to bring up the legislation and not wait for someone else to dot it.

I doubt I will hear back.

4. I think that is what we all need to do to each of our representatives
That and much more.
Letters to the editors
Bumper Stickers
March on Washington

It is time the people take the government back for the people. For our children.

9. This isn't enough. We need to send letters to reps and senators
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 01:30 PM by Cleita
in all fifty states. Get hold of a zip code directory so you can get through the blocks set up on their contact information. Many won't take email or telephone calls if you aren't in their district or state. This is a way to Trojan Horse your way through the barricade.

Imagine when the Reps in red states start getting pressure from other that the choir they are used to placating.

10. And exactly how would they do that?
Would the Repubs give them a minute on the floor before they tabled their proposal for impeachment? Or would it even receive a minute? Give he Democrats back the House would be the first necessary step.

12. Kentuck, we really can't wait that long.
We are going to have to figure out a way that is as scary to them as the whole country heading for Washington with torches and pitchforks and still stay peaceful and not harm anyone. I think bumper stickers, T-Shirts and even lawn signs popping up all over would be a big attention getter.

16. I think we should put the pressure on the incumbent Republicans...
They are the ones that are permitting these illegalities to go on. Either they investigate or they ar gone. That is the message they need to receive loud and clear.

17. Didn't the repukes have Impeach Clinton button and stickers?
If I recall correctly, during the Monica debacle, there were bumper stickers, buttons and signs calling for Impeachment of Clinton.
We must do everything we can to get this process out in front.

11. This is why we need everyone to vote Dem in the state elections
As long as chimpy has control of the senate and the house and now the supreme court i dont see a way of getting him out of office.

13. there is still only 30% in favor of impeachment
so it is time to step up our efforts and call and email ALL our congresscritters, repuke and dem alike. The more they hear it, the easy it will be to say it.

14. Specter is royally pissed
That's a good start and with Kennedy, Biden and Feingold on the Judiciary Committee doing the investigating, expect lots of noise and talk of Impeachment front and center in short order. Whether the Repug Congress votes to actually impeach the bastard and throw his sorry ass out of office is another thing.

Here's a wet-dream to ponder: Bush gets impeached and Cheney gets indicted. How sweet would THAT be? (That would leave us with Hastert running the show but at least he isn't a card-carrying member of PNAC....)
