Don Luskin Demands a Retraction and an Apology from Paul Krugman
Can you believe this shit?

KRUGMAN ACCUSES LUSKIN OF "STALKING" HIM "PERSONALLY" A month on the New York Times best-seller list with his book The Great Unraveling <http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0393058506/luskinnet-20/104-4468867-5787905?creative=125581&camp=2321&link_code=as1>, flitting from lecture to lecture, from talk-show to talk-show, must be going to Paul Krugman's head. He's getting sloppy -- perhaps even unraveling, as it were. He's saying things he shouldn't say -- some of them very dirty and very damaging.
He's gotten away with comparing the Bush administration to "totalitarian regimes of the 1930s" in his book. Now he's accusing a fellow journalist -- me -- of being a stalker.

That's right. On nationwide television Friday night, Paul Krugman falsely accused me of committing the felony of stalking him. On the "Hannity & Colmes" show on Fox News, Krugman said of me,

"That's a guy, that's a guy who actually stalks me on the web, and once stalked me personally."

Krugman's rhetorical strategy for some time now has been to assert that to disagree with his opinion is to lie, to advocate policies which conflict with his is to be "political," and to have a different vision of America's future is to be part a "radical regime." But this is a new twist. Now, to criticize Paul Krugman is a crime.

I demand from Krugman a full, immediate and public retraction and apology. And I demand from Fox News the opportunity to appear on "Hannity & Colmes" and set the record straight. I am not now nor have I ever been a stalker.

4. He's a college dropout...
who has given bad adviced, or so I've read, on investing for a while now. He also writes for some far right junk like the National Review and maintains his own blog, poorandstupid.com, which maintains that big media, academia, and government are blocking our road to financial freedom and making us believe that it's good.

6. The only place I've ever seen mention of him...
...has been in articles that you've posted, CT.

I don't think he has much of an impact.

3. THIS is what passes for a counter argument to Krugman???
Just add this to the list of reasons why Krugman is right in his analysis.

This is entirely about undermining the messenger because you can't undermine the message.

By the way, when I saw Krugman, I didn't see someone who was flitting. I saw someone who is honestly assessing some very serious problems in American society today.
