TV Blackout movement for 9pm (EST)-12 midnight tomorrow!!!!
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 09:54 PM by cantstandbush
No decent American should even listen to the media tomorrow at all but certainly all like-minded citizens who are outraged by this administrations trashing of our Consititution should turn off their radios and TVs tomorrow at 9pm est. and leave them off until Monday in protest of the fascism taking over our nation. It's and easy thing to do. You don't even have to travel to Crawford and stand in the cold to join in this protest!!

Please post this on as many sites as you can. In addition to the orange ribbon movement, let's start with the Click-off movement.

2. What TV?
Why would anyone allow their mind to be so polluted?

Avoid brain damage when possible.

6. I have to ask a silly question
I'm not trying to be difficult, but I don't see the point in this? Unless you are a Nielsen household, no one will know if you're not watching or listening, so how does this send a message?

7. Just the idea that millions will be talking about not watching will send
them in a tizzy. It means we are not listening to their shit anymore and we might just blackout any other event in protest which means we will not be seeing or hearing commercials and the sponsors will have a fit. It's a small act of willful neglect and disrespect for Bush who deserves nothing less. To be ignored is the worst kind of humiliation.

20. no it won't
Is there any plan to communicate to "them" that nobody's watching? Is there any plan to prove to "them" that anyone actually followed through with the plan?

The OP says that this will be easy. It's precisely because it's so easy that it won't do any good. Change never came about because someone did something that was easy.

8. I'm with you
What exactly does this accomplish? How does not watching television in general protest anything?

15. Because Agent Mike won't be able to look into your bedroom.
They do thet, you know, look in on you while you're watching them. That's how they can tell if you're stealing HBO or not.

17. Oh, I forgot - that's how they control my mind too.
They must need a better system - I have no self control.

by how much of their signal is used up.

12. I Would Have to Turn the TV ON in Order to Turn it Off
About the only things I've watched lately have been CSPAN, election coverage, and hurricane coverage.

There isn't much on worth watching.
