9-11 Is Bush's Reichstag Fire
Shrub continues to use this national tragedy to justify subverting the United States Constitution in order to grossly inflate the power of both himself and those whose interests he represents. Even arch-conservatives such as Republican Senator Larry Craig have begun to call him out on his bullshit.

The irony here is that while Osama bin Laden is still running around out there somewhere, George W. Bush uses valuable resources to illegally spy on the American people.

You can always trust Shrub to get things ass-backwards.

The greatest threat
to American freedom.

1. My Uncle Jerry made that connection the week-end after 9-11
and he quoted Santyana about those who forgot the past are condemned to relive it.

5. Took him a whole week?
I live in Brooklyn and was heading to the subway when I saw the towers burning with my own two eyes. I decided not to go to work and turned around and went home. In the three blocks it took me to get back home, I "KNEW" that is was "Terrorism", I "KNEW" that our government was complicit in the act, and I "KNEW WITHOUT ANY DOUBT" that everything had just changed drastically. I have seen, heard or read nothing that leads me away from my initial impression!

2. The average person doesn't believe it
They don't believe that anyone could be so crass as to exploit a national tragedy this way. But, as we have seen, politicians hold nothing sacred.

Welcome to realpolitik.

3. They didn't just exploit it -
they were waiting for it to happen. And they were very well prepared when it did happen (politically that is).

4. The PNAC'ers letter to Clinton
pointed out the "need" for a "Pearl Harbor event" to justify their schemes.

Was it fate?
