Anybody see this little tidbit in the Washington Post
(according to a Washington Post article published 12/18/05) from the years 1997 to 2002, the Republican-controlled House Government Reform Committee issued 1,052 subpoenas to probe alleged misconduct by the Clinton administration and Democrats, but in the years since Bush has been president, they have issued three.

I would be interested in knowing how many of those subpoenas resulted in any charges. Any way I found this to be astounding...

4. Any idea what the 3 issued ones were for?
I'd look it up, but I'm not quite sure where to look.

12. here ya go
Democrats on the committee said the panel issued 1,052 subpoenas to probe alleged misconduct by the Clinton administration and the Democratic Party between 1997 and 2002, at a cost of more than $35 million. By contrast, the committee under Davis has issued three subpoenas to the Bush administration, two to the Energy Department over nuclear waste disposal at Yucca Mountain, and one last week to the Defense Department over Katrina documents.

5. clinton had a provable mandate
strangely, one would think that just word of mouth alone would point up the falseness of the way the lying liar gets away with his lies ....

7. I would love to get a link on that. Do you remember what article
you were reading? I'd like to pass it around as proof of lack of oversight when the same party controls all the branches.

10. Charges Or Convictions???
In the Clenis days, the charges were all that counted. If there was any investigation, it always ended up with zero. The only Clinton official to be found guilty during his 8 years was Henry Cisneros...and that was on laundering money to his girlfriend and had nothing to do with his government position. Several other prosecutions came up empty (any remember Webster Hubbell??) and wasted 40 million plus dollars. Does that answer your question?

11. Yes, I saw that.
All they want now is the courts. They already have a rubber-stamp congress which is the handmaiden of their demented leader. They own the fourth estate--the press. They want the courts, so they can complete their destruction of our system.

Oh... and what about the people? Well, no one is too concerned about THEM. Because the most vocal of the people is that small percentage which still (because it doesn't want to admit it was WRONG) make a knee-jerk defense of everything the demented leader does. The rest of the people--the great majority--are just ignored.

13. That closeness to the rubber stamp Congress could be the
downfall of BOTH the Admin & the Congress! They are not only in bed on getting tax cuts and certain laws passed, they're in bed on the bribes, graft, kickbacks, and crimes!

That's OK with me! I'll party each time I see one fall!!!!!
