We are witnessing a historic moment, not a political moment
George Bush's radio address of yesterday should be referred to as the "Yes, I am a crook" acknowledgment. Everyone on this board who is discussing political strategies, ploys, talking points, etc. should step back and realize that we are beyond all of that. In a very ironic way, George Bush has finally become the "unificator" he has always dreamed of becoming. George Bush's' abrogating the Constitutional rights of American citizens should draw all thinking and patriotic Americans together from both parties to drive this man and his Vice-President, and his Secretary of State and his Attorney General and his Secretary of Defense from office for numerous and collective high crimes and misdemeanors. A leader will arise from these ashes. Who?

along with breaking a number of 1978 laws passed against domestic wiretapping. Tune in to Air America Radio right now for a discussion about this on the Laura Flanders show.

ON EDIT: Uh-ho, they're changing guests now. Previous segment had Mark Crispin Miller and Eleanor Clift of Newsweek talking about impeachment. If you can get that from an archive, you'll have a good overview of the laws broken.

5. Huh? As an historian, I am completely confused by your post.
The political IS historical. History does not emerge from a void, but from events in peoples' lives, whether they be political, social, economic, or geographical. History is comprised of four factors. Politics is but one.
