I was not watching. This sets of alarm bells. Does anyone seriously know what Lincoln did during the civil war? We have to be honest about our history because Lincoln more or less thrashed the Constitution.

And yes, Lincoln has a checkered Constitutional history in regard to the Civil War. That was the source of my facetiousness in comparing Bush and Lincoln...as well as the intent - I think - of some of the tone of this President's address tonight.

I think the irony here is the context...
