http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/12/19/iran.music.ap/index.htmlSince the recent announcement that Iran will be banning all offensive music and Western music (which basically goes hand in hand, especially when sung by the scantily clad talentless blond of the week) Kevin Bacon has been dragged out of his pool to once again free people's spirits through dance. This time though, the challenge is a little larger than a small Western town, but the whole country of Iran.
In the movie "Footloose" Kevin Bacon shook up the youth of a small town that had banned rock and roll and dancing by teaching them to rebel against their fundamentalist parents (and Jesus) by dancing. Though everyone knows that God hates music, dancing, and other activities that don't involve praying and donating money to guys with immobile hair, Kevin Bacon was able to overcome it through perseverance and good hearted Kevin Baconness.
Now its Iran's turn to smell the smokey wrath of Bacon. He will be in the desert sizzling up some revolution by moving his now 47 year old feet to the beat of the 20 year old follow up to the song "Footloose", Kenny Loggins' new hit, "I'm Cold And I Think I Lost My Pills".
Iranian hard line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has been briefed of the situation and has said, "Kevin who? We will see how footloose this infidel feels in a 4x6 jail cell." Kevin Bacon was unavailable for comment citing a busy schedule on the set of his new movie, "The Air I Breath", presumably a movie about breathing air.
