Round Four: Bill O'Reilly Hits Back at Nick Kristof

NEW YORK In round four of their heavyweight battle, Bill O'Reilly hit back at New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof on Monday, calling him "absolutely clueless" adding that he has "no idea what is happening in the country."

Earlier, O'Reilly had labeled Kristof a "leftwing ideologue" and the columnist responded on Sunday by calling O'Reilly a "bully," adding, '"Let us pray that Mr. O'Reilly will understand that the Christmas spirit isn't about hectoring people to say 'Merry Christmas,' rather than 'Happy Holidays,' but about helping the needy."

Today, in his Talking Points Memo posted online, the Fox News TV personality, syndicated columnist and radio host, wrote, "While I always appreciate prayers, Mr. Kristof, you are sadly misguided in your descriptions. As everyone who watches this program knows, we donate hundreds of thousands of dollars to the poor each year through proceeds from BillOReilly.com.

"In fact, the website was actually set up to help the needy, and I think it's safe to say that this year alone, I've donated more money to help the poor than you have in your entire life. What say you, sir?

5. Wasn't there a story in the Bible
about how the very rich men were placing plates of gold before God and one, poor woman came forward with only one coin? If I remember correctly (It's been years since I attended Protestant church services), the rich men ridiculed the woman for her small offering. Jesus, on the other hand, shut them all up by praising the woman because she actually gave more than the very rich because she had so little and provided from that freely and without hesitation.

I wonder how God looks upon O'Lielly, his plate of gold for the poor and his exfoliating scrubbers.

I had no idea that Jews were upset about not being wished a Merry Christmas.

I also hope they do full real time coverage on Fox News. He should go door to door and take names for his black list.

12. Wait, if all that money came in through his website
How does O'Reilly figure that he's donated all that money? Who got the tax write-off? And is O'Reilly incorporated as a charitable organization? Then why would he have a .com URL and not a .org URL?

Something smells like a big steaming pile of billshit to me.

19. O'Reilly Info......

O'Reilly donates the PROFITS from the money he makes selling his craptor gear, and that money comes from the people who buy the crap, not him.

So you can bet your ass he is getting a tax credit for all that money he says he donates. On top of that, IT'S NOT HIS MONEY. Not to mention he refuses to say how much he makes in gross sales and how much he donates, yet he demands other people disclose that info. I would bet he pays his cousin Shemp $150,000 a year to run the store and then what's left goes to charity.

So he gets the tax credit from donating other peoples money, what a deal, I wish I could get a deal like that.

20. Well, I think I'll take old Bill at his word, then
As soon as he shows me his tax returns, proving that he's donated, out of his own pocket, in excess of 20% of his gross (not net) earnings for the year. Otherwise, I'll put my record of giving up against his any day of the week. And I won't even factor in hundreds of hours of unpaid volunteer time to my congregation, its district, the homeless shelter or the food agency. I'll bet I still whip O'Reilly's ass when it comes to charitable giving.

13. If the website was set up to help the poor
(which I suspect is pure bullshit), then it wasn't O'Reilly making the donations, but rather his devotees. Nothing out of O'Reilly's pocket.

BTW, what did O'Reilly have to say about Kristoff's invitation to bring him to Darfur?

18. It was set up to help the poor - the poor, downtrodden
multi-millionaires to promote their BS that they need bigger and better tax cuts so that they can shower their golden joy upon the masses . . . a tinkle at a time . . .

21. Warning. Warning. My tinfoil hat!
This entire "War on Christmas" thing has something stirring up Scanlon's "religious whackos" for some ulterior motive. I don't think either Falafel Boy or the Saudstrailan News Organization he works for gives a tinker's damn about Christmas. But I know one large corporation that wants to stop another's success.

I have heard a lot about Target being targeted (no pun) this season, so I looked up how many times, in how many articles Target was mentioned with regards to a boycott.

The first six articles on google.

Now, we know that one big chain has a data base only smaller than the Pentagon. Target is affecting their sales. Sam Walton had a model of three years max to run out all the small business in the area he invaded. I wonder how long it would take to run a mega business out?

Just my opinion.
