My Local 4:30 Newscast *Starts* With: Bush Puts Himself Above the Law
In the buckle of the bible belt. Showed lawyer A saying FISA is president-friendly, and they can often get warrants three weeks after the fact. Showed lawyer B saying FISA is too cumbersome. Showed an ACLU rep saying it was Orwellian. Showed a blue-collar stiff saying We Gotta Fight Da War on Terror. But the important thing for me, was the first words in the headline were that Bush was putting himself above the law.

1. how does the whole "too cumbersome" thing work?
I mean, it's pretty cumbersome for me to have to pay for a big screen TV. Can I just steal it then?

4. Good, some of these fools remember the Nixon years
and they know damned full well that they've been targeted by the paranoid old drunk in the White House. Let's hear them SCREAM about this. Let's see them start to persuade ALL members of Congress form BOTH PARTIES that they have been targeted, too. We've been here before, folks.
