House OKs Budget Cuts, ANWR Oil Drilling
Edited on Mon Dec-19-05 09:59 PM by noahmijo
Great wonderful let's tear it all up so that we can reduce our depency on foreign oil by about 3% for the next 20 years....and that's if the oil companies don't ship a drop of it off to China.

And the government under Overlord Bush still supports torture and spying on American citizens. American soldiers and Iraqi civilians die everyday. The poor as usual are the first targets in the republican war on America.

What does the rest of America think of this?

Who gives a shit!! gotta praise Jesus and buy me some Chinese made presents for my younglins and relatives before the sales end by midnight!!!

I give up. I don't know what else to do to try to change a nation in which over half the people are ignorant sheep who are more concerned with religious mythology which they use to justify bashing gay people.

This country is dead to me. DEAD. I don't give a fuck about it anymore. At this point I just care about myself and those I love and anyone else that is within my reach to help. The nation itself though can rot as it already is. I really doubt if I will ever respect the flag or the so called founding principles anymore.

WASHINGTON - The House voted to cut a thin slice off federal deficits and sink oil drills into the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge early Monday, quelling Democratic opposition in a marathon struggle ending near dawn.

The votes sent both bills to the Senate, where the GOP leadership vowed to clear them for President Bush's signature with a year-end flourish.

Bush sounded eager. "We must restrain government spending. And I'm pleased that the House today has voted to rein in entitlement spending by $40 billion, and I urge the United States Senate to join them," he said at a White House news conference

1. "We must restrain government spending."
Yeah, so let's start with your salary. Nobody should have to pay for services rendered that have been proven to be incompetent, ineffective, and greviously detrimental to the payer for those services (the US taxpayer).

2. The rats have won the rat race. But the ship they're on is the Titanic.

And when the Titanic sinks, in the middle of nowhere, having hit a big-ass iceberg, with only a small handful of bare-bones lifeboats, they're eventually as toast as us.

Let them drill.

(don't ask how I went from a race to a sinking ship. Rats can be found in ships too. :D )

4. It's really hard to watch...
each and every step descending further into the abyss...but..the end will only be the next beginning. Hang on there friend...and look away when you must. In the darkest moments there are speckles of light.
