Bill Would Allow Arrests For No Reason In Public Place

Citizens Would Also Have To Show ID

UPDATED: 7:22 pm EST December 19, 2005
CLEVELAND -- A bill on Gov. Bob Taft's desk right now is drawing a lot of criticism, NewsChannel5 reported.
One state representative said it resembles Gestapo-style tactics of government, and there could be changes coming on the streets of Ohio's small towns and big cities.

______________

This is yet another reason that Alito MUST NOT be successful. "States Rights" to him and his means the reinstitution of obsolete and often segregation era, fascist leaning policy.

2. This is crazy. How stupid is Taft?
He already has the lowest approval rating of any governor in the country, now he wants to sign a Gestapo bill into law??

I can't believe this guy is still in office.

Somebody, please help us in Ohio!

3. Has Kucinich weighed in on this issue yet?
I'm surprised that this has been allowed to go as far as it has in his home state...

4. Whats not surprising is that the police would enforce this garbage...
and still sleep at night.

This country has gone down the tubes for this to even be an issue on the table at all.

Glad I dont live in Ohio !!!

5. This would essentially deprive you of your 4th amendment rights, in toto!
Lets see, arrest without any probable cause?

Yeap, your rights flushed right down the crapper !!

How low will this country sink ?
