19 of 20 dead in Seaplane crash
Edited on Tue Dec-20-05 09:06 AM by DemonFighterLives
I never found this story here or in LBN and was just wondering who died and what details there were. My :tinfoilhat: may need adjustment, but when small planes go down, I wonder who of value went down?

MIAMI BEACH — Nineteen bodies have been recovered in Monday's plane crash off Miami Beach. Authorities say a seaplane carrying 20 people crashed into the water within sight of the city's high-rises, killing 19 people. The other person hasn't been found. Witnesses say the plane exploded in the air.

Coast Guard spokesman Dana Warr saw the crash from the Coast Guard office on an island in Government Cut, a channel just west of where the plane went down. Cargo and cruise ships use the channel to sail from the Atlantic past the posh South Beach neighborhood into the Port of Miami. It's closed because of the crash.

Coast Guard officials say the Chalk's Ocean Airways propeller plane crashed around 2:30 Monday afternoon after take-off en route to Bimini in the Bahamas. Two crew members were aboard along with 18 passengers, including three infants.

1. Local Miami news now says that only 19 were on board.
17 passengers and 2 crew is what Miami local news is reporting.

3. I wonder did the last one not board?
I think the search is basically being called off for the possible #20.
Thanks Mika!

4. "I wonder who of value went down?" WTF does that mean?
Thats a very interesting way to put it???? Perhaps you intended to say you wondered if anyone famous was killed?

Chalks runs a commuter type operation to the Bahamas so it is doubtful anyone famous was aboard. If it was loaded with famous people it would be no more tragic than it already is. 20 people dying regardless of their "value" is terrible.

5. Very good point!
That was a bizarre question in the OP.

6. Are you really that obtuse?
The inference was clearly to someone of political note of the left-leaning persuasion, a la Paul Wellstone. It is a tragedy in any event, especially as the report I heard noted that there were three infants on board.

8. You are keen!
Thanks Matt!
I added FL(home of Jebbie and stolen elections and terrorist flight school) with NTSB and Bimini Road (kidding)and the fact that dubco was hoping for some new incident to change his spying news.
Not that this is grabbing that much attention, but I will wait for it to sort out.

7. Was I disrespecting the dead?
Edited on Tue Dec-20-05 10:42 AM by DemonFighterLives
That was not my intention.
A small plane once went down in MN that had Paul Wellstone and 7 others.
I guess that is what my tinfoilhat was for. I didn't believe the NTSB in that incident and when I hear of them investigating now a plane that blew up in the sky, the hair stands on the back of my neck.
Sorry if I bothered you!

Many rich, famous, and political people go to Bimini for the sport fishing there using Chalks airway.

Chalks is one of the easiest ways to get there from Miami. I've flown on those planes before. Its an unusual way to travel - taking off and landing on the water. I never really considered that a wing could blow off though, and I always thought that by being able to land on the water made the trip a bit safer because it could land en route to the Bahamas if ever something went wrong.

10. But why are they "of value"?
"Many rich, famous, and political people go to Bimini"
Being rich, famous or in politics does not make one "valuable". I would have traded Bill O'rielly, Ann Coltuer and "W" for those three infants any day of the week.

11. All people are valuble ok
Any people dying is bad.
If you are missing my point, here it is.
Is it possible that political enemies of the regime could have bought the package?
What is your take on the crash?

12. My take on it is an accident.
The planes are 50+ years old and it could have blown a jug (cylinder) when it went up to full power or a fuel line could have burst. It sounds and looks like the fuel tank in the wing was compromised and burned through the wing-spar.
I may be naive but I would hope political killers would not sacrifice 19 innocent people to off one individual. I am sure there are more discrete ways of killing.

14. Thanks for your view.
For the record, I put nothing past b*shco, but I am only speculating here and maybe shouldn't be.

13. I get your point but I think your wording was poor
No one life is more valuable than another. I think you could have asked the question differently.

15. I guess my wording was bad
I think I picked it up from b*shco, you know the high value target type thing. Like Zarqawi and Zawahiri 24/7.
I really was just wondering if anyone other than "normal" people traveling were killed.
I still have visions of Carol Carmoody (sp) dancing in my head. She was the cia shill who blamed Wellstones crash on the weather well before any investigation had begun - speaking for the NTSB.
Wellstone was the little chicken shit that poppy had it in for and GFY cheney/dubby.
It is rather hard for me in MN to know what is happening in FL. I have to get it from MSNBC- forgive me.
