I believe bush is smart for being considered stupid
I couldnt see him getting away with anything near as much as he has...if he was considered smart.

Just my opinion..I feel better having said it.

1. Bush is nothing, he is a actor (a bad one) and a puppet.

You think he is making policy and decisions?
Not a chance, he is the public relations face of a large loosely knit organization.
Follow the money. Shouldn't be too hard, we are talking about real fucking huge big money.

2. Yeah, but I almost (cough) felt sorry for him...
... when he tried to figure out why minorities (after Katrina) think he "doesn't care about them."

I wrote, "Almost."

I saw genuine stupidity in his eyes.

3. The bar is set so low that..
.. anything above it looks good even when it stinks to high heaven.

I've made this point before from a different angle, namely that BushInc
and the GOPers go to such extremes that when they introduce an
egregiously outrageous idea, policy, or law that a so-called compromise
is still awful.

4. He definitely makes an effort to appear dumb...
Too dumb to be dangerous. And then sometimes he really is dumb. I think the reality is that he's smarter than he acts, but dumb enough to play dumb well.
