How will we all get through the holidays with our freeper in-laws, etc.???

I know all I'm gonna hear from my bro-in-law and my nephew is, "well, if you have nothing to hide, you shouldn't be afraid to be spied on" and "the elections in Iraq prove it was right for us to be there (and lie to get there, and get our troops and Iraqi civilians killed???)

My family has a standing policy of "no political talk at the holidays" (because it just gets nasty) ... but how can I contain myself when my country is falling into fascism faster than I can take it all in? I'm really worried this is gonna be a baaaaad Christmas for some households across this country.

And I decided a while back that I will not put up with that bullshit any more. So the wife and I avoided one brother last year and will do so again this year. I do not need to put up with that crap. I truly enjoy a rousing discussion, but will no longer tolerate those who proseltyze for Bush. They won't change and I refuse to be pulled into their little games and their "Clinton did it too" crap.
So a peaceful holiday is more important to me.

He's turned our loved ones into androids, a la "Invasion of the Bodysnatchers." And we can't have a peaceful family Christmas anymore because of it.
