Why the revelations about the FBI spying on domestic groups?
It's an attempt to shore up the base on the domestic spying the NSA did, of course.

The mouth-breathers on the right think it's fine to spy on domestic groups and that the first amendment is meaningless when it comes to people they disagree with.

4. The base won't be big enough to provide cover for Bush...
...if the next obvious development in this story is true: the President must have circumvented the courts to wiretap his political enemies.

You know it, I know it, and everyone can see it coming from a mile away. Dubya pulled a Nixon. It's just a matter of time until we find out the details.

And that's when we'll learn which Republicans are the true conservatives, and which ones are power-hungry cowards.

7. But they are also ones to rail on and on about govt, intrusion
into private affairs, I don't think it will give them much comfort that some of the groups that are targets are liberal.

9. True that, but one way to shut them up is to threaten them
That Hillary will also have these powers. That's all it takes to get them to change their mind.
