How about all us baby boomers just commit mass suicide
and make it easier for everyone? How's that for a solution!

I'm listening to Gregg (R-somewhere) talking about what a burden we all are, will be, and shouldn't be. I'm getting disgusted with my generation being used as the excuse for every bad policy decisions these bozos make....and some of them are boomers. Keerist! I didn't asked to be born, but when I got here, I've done my level best to support myself and mine. I've taken care of both my children and my parents. Lots of us have cared for our grandchildren too.

2. there's a suicide booth right down the street
just put in a dime and bam, no more worries. once we've heard bush admit his tyranny on live t.v. and nothing happens, no riots etc., then we deserve the suicide booths.

3. If it weren't for the boomers,
Social Security wouldn't have built up such a surplus. It's not their fault the SS fund was raided to cover Ronnie's deficits.

5. Amen!
I'm not a self-centered sociopath!

I've spent my life married to the same man, raised kids, paid taxes and taught other people's children for 33 years.

Sometimes it gets a little wearying.

6. I didn't ask to be born, either,
at least as far as I know :). I have consistantly tried to leave a light footprint on the planet and to help those who I could.

8. All they want is young meat - that's the way it has always been -
in boxing, in football, in the coal mines, in life.
Let them eat sand.

9. How right you are!
Baby boomers have been supporting their grandparents, parents and children in the greatest style in history since they got out of high school or college. Certainly, the baby boomers, contrary to popular myth, are the most generous of all generations -- and the most productive. I'm just a tad older than the official baby boomer, but I include myself as part of the support others generation. And, gee whiz, now we are approaching retirement, and guess what, there aren't enough young people to support us. And what's more, when we try to get jobs an work longer, no one wants us. I guess we are just going to have to stick up for each other. No one else will.

I have to say, for myself, that my own children are wonderful to me. I'm not complaining about them.

10. who knew, that in the open mindedness and peace loving 70s that
there was a group of equal but opposite hate mongers waiting to destroy everything.

bush is one of the anti-hippies. He drank he fucked he reveled with the rest but he also hated and waited. Apparently "gawd" found him out and demanded death and destruction for penance.

I wish we would have watched as well for the bulldozers that eventually came and knocked them down.

12. The oddest part is
they are using us as a reason to cut Medicaid, a program for the very poor or for children.

It would make sense if they were talking about Medicare.

Besides everyone there is a baby boomer or older.

13. Guys, we need a huge Boomer Movement. Wouldn't that
scare the crap out of those pols if a few million boomers descended on the Washington Mall demanding justice? Forget the social causes...this bunch understands the cult of "me". Let's go down and DEMAND our share and include all those other justices with it. Why not? Medical care--benefits young and old. Fair medication pricing--benefits young and old. Good and fair working conditions--benefits young and old. Fair trade--benefits all as well.

14. I would love to see a few million citizens march--boomers
and others. But our great leader would declare martial law in an instant. We would be herded into detention and might never get out. I know Shrub would love to do that. Of course a few of our "journalists" might get caught up in that and the WashPost just might have to print the paper from jail.

17. Let them do it.
Make them take the gloves off. Make the lying and fascism and corruption so obvious that even the lying media whores won't be able to spew with a straight face.

Fuck it. I am freaking tired of timidity. Lets roll.

16. Not only that but we have kicked in a massive surplus to
FICA only to have it squandered by the same vile shitheads who bemoan that fact that we are entitled to every last cent of our contributions back, indexed for inflation, and when that runs out because THEY ALREADY SPENT IT and the fed is SHACKLED with huge annual debt service payments because of their vile corrupt policies, TOO GODDAMN BAD, pay up.

And no I am not going to crawl into a hole and die to help balance the budget.

18. Well, Warren, we need to scream this to them.
I want callers to CSPAN to ask these idiots this. What do you expect us to do--just curl up and die? We need a letter campaign and plenty of accompanying phone calls. We're here, you better decide how to deal with it, DC.
