House of Representatives votes on December 19, 2005
Two bills were passed in the December 18 marathon session of the House that continued until around daylight on the 19th. Both bills are bad.

S. 1932, The Budget Reconciliation Act of 2006, is a bill to cut funding for Medicaid, food stamps and other social services, to partially offset even more tax cuts for the wealthy elite. It was passed by Roll Call Vote 670

H.R.2863 is the defense appropriations bill for the fiscal year ending 9/30/2006. In a thief-in-the-night scheme, the Republican leadership attached legislation to permit drilling in the ANWR, limit lawsuits by individuals who are harmed by bird flu vaccines, and loosen current campaign finance restrictions that Republicans consider inconvenient. Members of the House didn't get to see the text of these riders before the vote. This bill was passed by Roll Call Vote 669

You can review the roll call votes to see how your representative weighed in. If you don't know who your Congressman or Congresswoman is, you can find out here

Please contact your representative to let them know how you feel about their vote on these two pieces of feces.
