1. I'm heading up to Mamaroneck on Fri. Supposed to go into town Sat
We have some dinner reservations in town but we'll see if it is worth it.

2. Yep -- the Caribbean is a great place to be for Christmas!
Nice and warm -- and people here have the real Christmas spirit!

Also no bushie -- he isn't welcome down here.

People also love Cuba for all that Cuba has done for this region -- the Cuban doctors can be found throughout the Caribbean region. They are very welcome here.

And many people will have the gift of sight (thanks to Castro & Cuba) for a Christmas present.

The US media isn't reporting all the good works of Cuba in the Caribbean region.

3. Yes, those awful unions
haven't invaded down there to muck things up. How dare people ruin people's holidays -- even if it is just because they want to earn a fair and equitable living for themselves and their families.

4. I'm just glad we are not going to have to be walking

I'll have to do it when I go to NYC for business, if the strike is still going on. Just glad I won't have to be doing it this weekend.

5. The difference between the fancy resorts....
and the circumstances in which the employees live is beyond dramatic.

7. Yeah, it's real inconvenient being liberal, isn't it?

9. Can't see what being liberal would have to do with

not wanting to have to walk places?

13. I live here, I support the Union, but if I didn't & was thinking of coming
I probably would go elsewhere if I had the choice. You can certainly support the Union and choose to go somewhere else because you'd rather not walk a lot.

8. Do you support the Union, or not? Just so we know.

11. I support organized labor

We made the decision on where to go last week. We knew there was the possibility of a strike, didn't really worry that much about it, if we had chosen to go to NYC we would just have had to walk more and probably spend more than we planned on cab rides. We just chose to go somewhere warm instead.

As far as the strike, I really haven't kept up with the negotiations, I tend to believe that people aren't going to strike unless the feel it is necessary, I know people who have been on strike and know it's not fun or easy. But I don't just blindly and without knowing what is going on state opinions on such.

My only opinion is I would rather not have to travel around NYC without public transportation being available, if the strike goes for a while I very well might have to but if I do I'll find a way, like everyone else.

14. That's what I figured...just wondering.
I support the union, but if I didn't live here and was choosing whether or not to come here, I probably wouldn't because I wouldn't want to walk everywhere like you.

But since I live here, I am not complaining about walking since I support them.

10. I went to the city on last Sunday, and I'm going again 12/23!
I just take the bus from Pa., and voila!
Then I walk or take a taxi.
In the U.S., nothing beats New York at Christmas time!
