To any Republicans reading these posts...

First of all, welcome to DU.

Second, in case you think I just have some big beef against the GOP, I can assure you that some of my favorite Presidents have been Republicans. Hell, Abraham Lincoln even repealed habeas corpus for a time, and I still love the guy.

Sure, I've had my problems with Reagan and Bush 41, too - but what you might not know is that back then, I was a Republican, too.

You see, my beef isn't with fiscal conservatives. We'll always need some in Congress to help us try to keep government spending under control.

My beef isn't with the defense hawks. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. We need to maintain a strong military and insure domestic security (including well-trained and well-equipped police, firefighters, disaster relief agencies, etc.) to protect us against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and those rare instances when Mother Nature exacts too terrible a tribute on humankind.

My beef, however, is with corporate criminals, political neo-fascists, and religious extremists who want to transform the people's government - which our ancestors worked for, fought for, and died for - into their own little toy, using it to oppress not only Americans, but the whole world.

And I will not back down. Not now. Not ever. It's our nation. And we are going to take it back.

The Republicans are no more. They sell themseves daily to the high bidders and haave no soul.

I'm with ya. We're gonna take it back.
