Specter is terrible. I think he will finally be associated with the GOP now. He's gotten a free ride since Santorum showed up and became Young Republican #1.

Here is the infamous Arlen Specter Magic Bullet Theory, as best I can recall it:

1. The bullet was fired by Oswald
2. It hit Kennedy
3. It hit Connally
4. It stopped at a restaurant and got a cup of coffee
5. It left the restaurant without paying its bill
6. It hit Connally a second time
7. Stopped long enough to wave at Abraham Zapruder's camera
8. Was briefly elected Mayor of Dallas
9. Landed in Connally's leg
10. Emerged pristine on a hospital stretcher
11. Married Elizabeth Taylor
12. Divorced Elizabeth Taylor
13. Recorded an album of show tunes
14. Remarried Elizabeth Taylor
15. Became lodged up Rush Limbaugh's ass, where it caused painful cysts (preventing Limbaugh from serving in Vietnam)

while I would love to creatively add a few stops on the magic bullet path... I can not tamper with a work of art. Kudos!

I lifted the bit about the coffee shop from Richard Belzer... and the bullet was originally lodged up Gerald Ford's ass, but it makes so much more sense for it to be lodged up Limbaugh's ass (I doubt he could ever find it).
